The last factory making these said that they'll close down as soon as they can't find people to come and work (apparently, it is a skill that has to be acquired with time and patience), or when somebody buys the machines. But don't worry, the world is still sitting on warehouses of this stuff.
Nice, looks like almost is all automated compared with the handmade ones wish i think that is what they used to do many years ago there. Also its goes down about the prices to, may be those are more cheaper compared to the handmade ones.

Why porcelain is used for utensils because cleaning. Metals are difficult to maintain. Mostly dining experience.
