So many great reviews of the OM4, I decided to buy one. Now, I realise I have only had it for a day, but I am NOT so overwhelmingly impressed as all you reviewers keep going on about. Before I placed the order, I watched loads of these reviews and tutorials, tricks and tips etc. so I could hit the ground running. I have an iPhone 12 Pro MAX and am very impressed with the video and stills capabilities this offers - particularly the stability it gives for video when handheld. My OM4 arrived yesterday (ordered via Amazon UK). I went through the set-up procedure and registered it using the Memo app (that was a bit of a trial as it kept refusing the code they DJI e-mailed me and I needed to try this three times before it finally accepted I am who I said I am!!). I then went into my garden to try it out. The first thing I noticed was my shots were LESS stable than those I had taken on the iPhone just handheld! But, my biggest frustration is the little red button for stopping and starting video. 80% of the time I pressed it it failed to respond and I had to resort to using the big red icon on the iPhone itself. I now see that the Amazon seller who supplied it has some negative comments over returns, so I am not the happiest of bunnies!!!
Hi Brian! I have to agree that the iphone 12 lineup, specially the Pro have very good stabilization right out of the box. The issues you described are not normal and when you said that the seller on Amazon had negative reviews it kind of made sense. I usually try to buy only if it's sold directly from Amazon and there are only a few sellers that I trust at Amazon in the US (specially for electronics). On the other hand, I'd try to turn off the pro max stabilization, but I can't remember if you can do that on that phone.
You obviously have a strong accent, but I LOVE how you speak very slowly to make sure we understand you VERY WELL! You do a GREAT, GREAT, GREAT job! You speak slowly, but it is very natural and very calming! Thank you for ALL you do. I wish you MUCH success, Otto!

Got this yesterday and like any other product I get, I skip the manual unless I need help. Figured out most of what I wanted. This just made it more clearer on how to use.
I've watched multiple videos and haven't found anything for an actual beginner. All the "influencer" types annoy me. And the things seeming to be an actual tutorial are way too fast! This video is by far the best and actually has me excited about this product rather than being frustrated like I was becoming. Thanks so much! Looking forward to more info from you!

Well done! A couple of things though: People who watch videos like yours, also love pictures. You can therefore stay longer on pictures with lots of details, like the pano. Also, the finished video at the end have stutter every 0.6 seconds or so. Next video should be about how to avoid that. ;) Cheers :)

Thanks so much for this video! I brought the product after watching a few videos, but they were all Apple users. I got sad after that because I thought it wasn't compatible with android devices, (I have a note 20 ultra 5g.) But then I found this video and it helped me tremendously. Thank you!
Hello November. So glad that this video was helpful. Android does have some limitations compared to iPhone when using this gimbal but not a dealbreaker for me. I have a video on those differences and what you can't do with Android in case you want to take a look. Enjoy your OM4!
WOW! This may be your best video yet. My wife just came down to my tying bench and I was showing her the really cool fly I was working on called "Otto's Dragon" and she asked me "Who is Otto?" So I showed her your channel and we were watching when this video popped in. Great timing! She was so impressed. She thought the first 30 seconds of the videos we watched were ads. The drone footage and music was so professional. Just amazing. (Now she thinks I need a drone too. 😀 ) She did ask me to ask, are you in California? The bay area maybe? Great stuff my friend. Really amazing video. (And the product review was damn good too. If I shot with a phone, I would definitely look at something like this!)

I cannot agree more with the positive comments made earlier by others about the clarity and simple language of your tutorial videos. My question, are there other videos explaining how to use the various functions such as "Follow" "Tilt Locked" "FPV" etc for the video mode?
Very informative. I just got mine and have been doing loads of research. Your video by far was the best. It contained all the information in one place! Very easy to follow. I have a question. On the story mode, the pre set stories - is there a way to remove the words?

On that specific story that I used you can't remove those words, but most of the other stories (if not all of them) don't have any words. I just happened to choose the worst one with the distracting words 😕

I think it's really cool how you do your videos using the Galaxy...Everybody wants to be an Apple fanboy just because they don't have any real customizable options and therefore lazy developers will make their as software/hardware for iOS. Therefore, they make all their OM4 videos only for iPhones, and completely disregard Android (Samsung) user...Thank you for all you do, Otto!

I noticed when you were explaining panoramic shooting in one example you had the camera in landscape mode and in the other you have it in portrait mode. Is there a strong preference as to which way the camera should be positioned when taking panoramic shots?
Hi Carlos! not really any strong preference, I just thought that I didn't want to stretch the 240 degree one anymore on a vertical perspective. Placing it in portrait mode gave me more "ground and sky" while still having a nice panoramic view. Same concept in my opinion for the 3x3, it's just a matter of preference to be honest.

@@1228carlos Para fotos, en la aplicacion del OM4, debe seleccionar Photo (Foto). Estuve revisando y no se puede seleccionar la resolución de fotos, pero la aplicación del OM4 va a tomar la foto en la resolución máxima que tenga su teléfono celular

Hello, I don't have the Note20, but the size is similar to my S20+. Remove any cover and use the magnetic clamp. Try to place it near the center of the phone. The gimbal should auto balance when you turn it on. What is yours doing?

I cannot agree more with the positive comments made earlier by others about the clarity and simple language of your tutorial videos. My question, are there other videos explaining how to use the various functions such as "Follow" "Tilt Locked" "FPV" etc for the video mode?

Very informative. I just got mine and have been doing loads of research. Your video by far was the best. It contained all the information in one place! Very easy to follow. I have a question. On the story mode, the pre set stories - is there a way to remove the words?

On that specific story that I used you can't remove those words, but most of the other stories (if not all of them) don't have any words. I just happened to choose the worst one with the distracting words 😕

I think it's really cool how you do your videos using the Galaxy...Everybody wants to be an Apple fanboy just because they don't have any real customizable options and therefore lazy developers will make their as software/hardware for iOS. Therefore, they make all their OM4 videos only for iPhones, and completely disregard Android (Samsung) user...Thank you for all you do, Otto!
Thank you! Yeah I've been using Samsung for many years now but I got kinda disappointed that there are limitations when I use Android with devices such as the OM4

I noticed when you were explaining panoramic shooting in one example you had the camera in landscape mode and in the other you have it in portrait mode. Is there a strong preference as to which way the camera should be positioned when taking panoramic shots?
Hi Carlos! not really any strong preference, I just thought that I didn't want to stretch the 240 degree one anymore on a vertical perspective. Placing it in portrait mode gave me more "ground and sky" while still having a nice panoramic view. Same concept in my opinion for the 3x3, it's just a matter of preference to be honest.

Hi Carlos. The native camera app is the camera app that comes with the smartphone. iPhone 12 does support 4K. Am I missing something?

Hello, I don't have the Note20, but the size is similar to my S20+. Remove any cover and use the magnetic clamp. Try to place it near the center of the phone. The gimbal should auto balance when you turn it on. What is yours doing?
