Cork woman wins Global Citizen prize in New York

  • A Cork woman has collected a major award for her ‘trailblazing’ work on food security at a ceremony in New York. Sophie Healy-Thow, from Kinsale, said she was “overwhelmed” to win the Global Citizen Prize.
    The 26-year-old is no stranger to picking up prizes. She won the BT Young Scientist Exhibition ten years ago.
