    Damn that's some memories flooding back, back in the eighties we used to wait in Pontyberem Park and run to the rail track just behind when we could hear the train coming, jusmp on the last carriage as it passed and got a free lift to Pontiets... Aahhh the good old days...

    What a well made and characterful video. The small bridge after about 14 minutes would make a nice model.

    It would be nice if a heritage railway could go down the valley today

    Did that 08 have a cut down cab? If it did I can see why, only just clears that bridge.

    So, what has happened to the line since this was taken?

    • @BrianTuckerRailvideos
      @BrianTuckerRailvideos  8 лет назад

      The line has been ,mothballed I think,a preservation company occupied part of one of the sites,pretty sure the washery and coal centre has been closed for some time.

      The line is still in situe as of 2017 the Cwmmawr site has gone tracks and all just one or two small buikdings left, the line down to Kidwelly is there but so overgrown you can only see short lengths, there is a footpath thst runs alongside for some way.
