- If you plan on keeping your vehicle for years and years then don't neglect the transmission fluid. CHANGE IT every 50,000 miles at the very least.

Just replaced the the trans pan and did a transmission flush on a 2005 Lexus RX 330…. The easiest way to remove the trans pan is to remove the driver side tire, then remove the upper motor mount bolt, get under the car jack the motor up about 3 inches… you will be able to use a ratchet wrench and a 1/4 inch socket ratchet….. be sure to torque down to 65 inch pounds…. Thank me later😊
Very true
1 year later still very good video.thank you
Glad you liked it!
Where is the link for the parts?@@Michaelsbackyardmarina
Good job! I have the same car and it was very educational.
Glad it was helpful!
Maxlife, very smart. IT IS FAR SUPERIOR TO TOYOTA WORLD STANDARD. I use Maxlife in anything I can.
I spent a good hundred dollars on getting the filter, ring, and gasket from Lexus.
it ain't cheap. thanks for watching
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina but the one kit from Napa that you linked is less than $20!! That’s a huge difference. Wondering if it’s still a decent filter.
K series Acura's had a screw on filter just above the transmission.
First and second gen Ford escapes have a transmission drain plug and a dipstick
very good sharing
Was getting kind of worried, haven't see a video in awhile pop up from you. Thought you were either in SC or in hibernation mode for the winter.
We are back baby and going to hit it hard for the winter locked up indoors. The heat is on.
You left out where to put the new fluid!
Darn!
Right into the dipstick tube.
You don't have to use Toyota brand fluid?
thanks for the tip and thanks for watching
Can someone identify which transmission cooler line (labeled 1 and 2 in the attached pic) goes to the upper radiator port and which cooler line goes to the lower radiator port? thank you
Thanks for watching
Did I miss it, where / how do you put new trans fluid in?
through dipstick hole
You don’t think an extension with a wobble would be able to get at those 4 bolts? What about a flex head box wrench?
not enough room for sure. Thanks for watching
@@Michaelsbackyardmarina no problem. I guess I’ll just bite the bullet and get the cheap offset wrenches from hf or splurge and grab the icons. But I really would prefer 6 point wrenches.
What do you mean by how "too"?
Too hot, too cold? Too soon? Too late . Ir as in we did this but we need to do that too (as in also)? I don't understand... Why "too" and not just "to"?
Wow
We're the place to fill the fluid back?
Small long funnel at the dip stick
I change my transmission fluid in every 8k. Never go over 50k.
That’s overkill
USE OEM FLUID ONLY!!!!
sure, thanks for watching
