I was sure everything was lost. My ex told me she was done and had been done for a while. She was tired of the arguing we had two stepchildren and a child and she felt things were unhealthy for the kids. I tried no contact, but I broke down, and lots of videos later, I have my fiance back, my kids back, my home back, my self-respect back, and peace and love back in my life. Also, don't let her use you as a crutch till she finds someone new. Don't text all day back and forth, or talk on phone for hours. If one happens to come along that fits into it so be it, but I am not going to adjust my goals, or dreams to create a possibility with a chick. She has to fit me like a glove. And that would be rad.
But let's be honest, never gonna happen and I am actually ok with this now.

My Girlfriend lasted 2 weeks after the break up and contacted me i set up a date straight away , 4 months later we are happy in love and she has moved back in with me, i'm still making mistakes but not as often and improving everyday, ive found the lazier i am as far as chasing goes she chases more, but i apply the same principles Corey Teaches make time for Fun still take her on dates keep things as a surprize , i take control to a degree as she needs to maintain that i am the man and i take care of business and she loves it.

For the first month, I was a fucking man. Me and my girlfriend were fighting over little things, like how I was gonna dress to go to her parents's house and stupid things like that. She acted like a little princess, and when I would stand up for myself and say no to her, she would get upset. So I tried to calm things down by changing my behaviour, but found myself lost because that wasn't who I was, so I became anxious, insecure, then needy. Then she left me because "she needed a strong person".
Moral of the story: never change for someone else, it's gonna backfire on you. Be who you are, she will either stick by you, or get the fuck out, but you'll still remain that mountain standing strong no matter what the outcome is.

cory this is your best but I suggest to talk more about 30 - 38 relationship, with all the respect of young love and young, serious and really life damaging happens at that age not when you are young and you can fly from one bad to another easily.
I do this shit to my mom and sister all the time. Stand up for yourself put them in their place, I got into so many fights with my mom she would kick me out I'd leave 20 minutes later "where are you??" So I did this with an ex she kicked me out I left. 10 mins later "baby where are you I'm sorry..." it really is that simple walk away let them reach out. Looking back that was the best lesson my mother taught me was how to stand up to her and put her in her place she didn't do it again my ex didn't do it again either.
I've just got to say this guy is genuine and awesome in his teachings. There is definitely a lot to learn from him.

Corey, you are an actual Jedi! I never thought I'd find a dating coach who teaches about non-attachment like a true Jedi. I catch all the spiritual stuff you say (and I noticed you are a SW fan!). Anyhow, I've been studying this stuff for a decade and a half when I first found DD. I've now found a relationship with someone special who does so much every day to make me happy. The only thing getting in the way is my lack of centre do to actually finally being really really into someone! Wow, the emotional thing really messes with one's logic! Even though I know what to do, I have often done the opposite. But I found you "coincidentally" online, and I have been reading your book, and watching your videos every day. It's the only thing that keeps me on track.

Sucks that you gave up but i totally get it,
i am forcing myself to not contact in any sort or way (texting, posting/reposting shit on instagram and fb etc) which i did the first day she broke up at least 3 times a day. But i decided to NC and wait, i already see a slight change in her posts on instagram (kinda the post i reposted the first day) and i am currently feeling better. Roles are changing already i geuss, but ill be patient and wait.
I will not date other girls since i really am not interested in anyone else. If i really have too then i can wait for her. Im also not that goodlooking (fat) so first things first and ill focus on my weight loss and social life. May meet new girls but we will see. Ganna be a girl magnet after i get in shape hellyeah (kidding ofcourse :p). But i am already getting more postive :)

No success for me. I could go on and on but that is just how it is, there is no chance she would get back with me. Not that i did anything wrong but she just does not love me anymore. Days are hard and lonely but i am focusing on improving myself. Been going to the gym for 2,5 weeks now (lost 7kg so far) and will keep this up. Also planning to move to my own country (i am Portuguese but live in Holland) for a year, get a job there and just take a break from here, get in shape, save up some money and start fresh when i come back.

Gf of over a year broke up with me because I called her a bunch of bad names after a fight. We were supposed to meet up but she blew me off because she drank too much the night before (memorial day). I should have kept my cool but she didn’t want to make plans after flaking. This is why I got pissed and escalated the fight. I shouldn’t have got butt hurt but made things worse instead. Think this was the worst mistake of my life and now we’ve gone our separate ways. If you love someone don’t lose your cool and blow up over stupid shit. Learned my lesson the hard way

To the guy with the shoes. Corey has it all wrong my friend. All that his advice will do would be push her further away. What actually happened is that she had a natural cortisol reaction. Due to her being afraid of losing you. Fight or flight. It freaked her out and she reacted out of fear. All she needed was reassurance. She may keep reacting until the cortisol dissipates. Best think you could have done was reassure her as much as you could. Then she would begin to trust you. If you act all tough she will feel like you don’t care about her feelings. She loved you deeply. Hope you got back together.
Corey didn’t say you be a dick, you enter into a relationship to give, say you love her and want to be with her and spend time with her, as that’s what you really want, at the same time learn to set boundaries, don’t chase before even you know if she’s the one for you, you have to take it slow or take it in the women’s pace, otherwise you’re pushing her too much to the point that she blows you off. That’s because of your insecurity.

I really enjoy Corey's work and have implemented many of his teachings. However trying to set a date up with an ex as soon as they get in touch just scares them off , when in reality they were merely testing the waters. It comes across as desperate to see that person, I appreciate that isn't what Corey is conveying but this is how it comes across
