I tripped over a cheap tip today for clamp light, light diffusion (came up with it on my own) - wrap a sheet of wax paper over the light, using blue painters tape to hold it in place (LED lightbulb, of course). Working on my "studio" - work in progress.
hey men can u you tell me how to do that spooky blue lighting you did, in a cheap way .. im kind of amateur on cinematography please help with some lighting tips im filming next week
Hey! The easiest way to get a blue look that's similar to "moonlight" is to use a light with a cool color temperature. My light was 5600k and I set my camera's white balance to around 3200k. You can adjust the white balance of your camera to adjust how blue your shot looks. Hope this helps and good luck with your film!
Stornelli Yeah I just used one light which was the Aputure 300D and had a soft box on it. That light is a little expensive though. If your budget isn't that high, you could use a work light. I've used this one before to get a similar look and it's wayy cheaper. That shower curtain for diffusion is genius! I was thinking about buying a softbox but I think I will just get a shower curtain. :)
Why does this only have 25 likes?! This is really high quality production and gives super good tips!
Yea, That's what i was thinking too.
