@ETJ English Can you please make a video on how to pronounce the 4 following words in your accent: 1. Power 2. Hour 3. Now 4. Our (When you're starting the sentence with the word with Our, as in, "Ours stars now)."
Hello Mr Elliot, I found your lesson very useful. I heard people saying "literally" in their conversations. Now, I got the real meaning of it. Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
My name's JUNIOR, I'm Brazilian, 55, I live in the southern Brazil. I'm a teacher of foreign languages, I teach English, Spanish, French, German and Italian. I'm very fond of languages. I follow your videos, they help me a lot. You've got a great and clear explanation. Thank you English lad.👊🏻🇧🇷🏴🇬🇧
As always, I literally enjoyed your "lesson". As an American copy editor and English instructor, I teach that "figuratively" is the better choice when exaggeration is meant, and "literally" when speaking the plain truth. I may be old fashioned, and I know that language is always evolving. But my vote is for more use of "figuratively" and less of "literally", at least here in the USA. What do you think?
"Literally or not literally" that is the question. Sometimes to literally say what you think is literally not the best thing to do but I literally don't resist to tell what I literally think. 😂😂😂😂Stay safe, dear Elliott 🇮🇹🍀🇬🇧
That English teacher on youtube is a teacher who is able to make me more confident and caurageous to speak English significantly in the short peirod of time while whiching. It is literally thereforce effective to have a look at this youtube channel in the spare time.
Your videos are so useful . I'm Iranian and I've learned English 10 years ago . It's been 2 years since I started learning british accent . Recently I had an accent test , and I got 98 from 100 😍 . So happy about that .
I'm just wondering why you, Elliot made the quote 'other accents are available' Lol I guess many people are bothering you, raising the same issue over and over again and you just fed up, but in a very polite manner. It's so British, cute! jajajajajaja Thanks for the video. You will become my teacher very soon.
I am literally on fire with each one of your videos, probably it sounds a bit excessive and really it is but I am really hooked to your channel, greetings.
Your accent is the one I want 😃❤️👌. Reminds me of my two years I lived in London when I was younger (I come from Madrid, Spain). Unlimitted London 🇬🇧💂🚇
I like your way to teach by using an advise on the end of your video. I'm iraqi and we moved to Australia since my son was nearly 6 years old, he is still confused to say literally because the people here are pronounce the word like ( lirery).
I want to hear the words 'Earth' and 'Area' from you... Because no matter how hard I try, I can't pronounce Earth like David Attenbourgh and in case of Area...I go completely blank when I see that word. By the way...as usual a great video.
Same thing here in Argentina. They would say "I'm literally dead". Well you are not! You're f breathing! If you say "I'm dead" about liking something too much, or being shocked about something or whatever, you're emphasizing enough. No need to say "literally". It makes me mad you know haha
Le encuentro toda la razón a tu comentario. Soy mexicano que ha vivido en Chile tres años y también lo usan . No obstante, en México es un abuso terrible de esa palabra. Lo peor de todo es que en México, como le comento a Elliot en cometarios más arriba es que dicen "literal" siendo que sería "literalmente".

Hi i am so happy to see you ♡ I am always waiting of your lesson Thanks for your kind lesson, i feel like i always improve myself every time♡♡♡♡ Please give me a heart eliot!! From southKorea.😄😄😄😄
At some point you said “often” as /ofen/ (kinda) and that's something I'm always dwelling on, because my native teacher didn't properly solve to me. He told me /ofen/ is less formal? Or it was less informal? I can't even remember - he wasn't much of a mnemonic teacher.
Sir im glad that i found your video on you tube..Im filipina and working to expat employer in Malaysia and your lesson help me a lot to expand and enhance my english grammar. My employer is french but with a british accent.
Hello Elliot. Your method of explanation and teaching literally encourage us to use English in a lively way. Yes, your channel is simply fascinating. Thank you, Elliot. 🥇🏆
I’m American though I’ve (almost) always said the quicker “litrilly” and had others correcting me often saying no, it’s “liderally” and I have stubbornly refused to change 😏
Hello Eliot, the "Literally epidemic" (literal in Spanish, by the way misused as an adjective and not as an adverb as it should be: "literalmente") is only surpassed by the covid19 pandemic. I believe that worldwide this indicates a lack of reading and vocabulary. Greetings from Mexico.
You're literally an amazing teacher!
True or exaggerating 🤔.??? Confused. Isn't it
@@dilan4582 absolutely true!
You're literally so beautiful
You're a fast learner literally

Neither is more formal than the other and both are accepted

Hello Eliot good evening from phillipines
Great information
It IS LITERALLY 100 degrees out today. I'm not exaggerating at all. My Alexa just announced that it is, in fact, 100 degrees outside today.

Thank you teacher😊, I was literally waiting for your new video😂😍
Yeah, I know this word. In Hungarian, it is an expression: ''szó szerint''. ( In accordance with a word or according to word in loan translation).
Hi
