Como prueba de su esplendoroso pasado en el que la habitaron romanos, musulmanes, judíos y cristianos, Tortosa luce el impresionante castillo de la Zuda, la catedral de Santa María y elegantes edificios modernistas. No en vano se la conoce como la ciudad de las tres culturas: cristiana, judía y árabe. Tortosa vivió su momento de máximo esplendor durante el siglo XVI, la época del Renacimiento.
