    I don’t buy luggage without wheels. I am 75. Also don’t buy houses with stairs!

    My husband just got back from a road trip (inspired by your Every Mile a Memory video) and used a KemiMoto bag. He loved it.

    You could spray the tour pack with a water proofing spray like silicone, or some fabric waterproofing methods.

    Great review and a nice bag. Personally I'm a fan of the RickRak system because it is quick connect and locking AND it has roller bag functionality. Both look like great options.

    i have a rick rack tour bag and same thing with the rain cover...nothing attaches it 🙄...however, i have a damn slick fix for it that i've stumbled onto this year!

    I’ll be putting mine to the test starting tomorrow. 5000ish miles over 12 days strapped to an AdvanBlack tourpack on my 18 Softail.
    Your issue with the clips, I always loosen the strap then connect the clip. Finally cinch the strap back up

    Solid review Ryan! That rain cover issue also (possibly) points to a customer service issue. Yes? Your thoughts?

      Thanks Toby. Yeah, I’m kinda torn with how it went down. We will see how they handle it in the future but it was worth noting. 🤙🏻

    I have the smaller version and it has a ton of room also. I like the additional compartments on yours. I have yet to put it in use yet but plan on putting it through the test next spring! Great review Ryan!

    I would worry about connecting a 30 pound bag to a rack connected to a plastic lid by 4 screws, screwed into the plastic.

    Also wondering how your oil consumption was with that last HD Syn 3 20w-50 motor oil on your big trips? Still 1 qt per 1500 miles, better or worse?

    Great review Ryan, I have a nelson rigg nr300 and I'm actually looking for a smaller bag. Me and the wife went out on a 3500 km trip (2200 miles) this summer and well... she over packed it which is easy to do with a bag that size absolutely no issues with it and highly recommend for long haul touring but too easy to over load it( it weight 40 lbs when she was done!) Which of course caused some handling issues but we over came and enjoyed our trip through the interior of British Columbia, I really like the idea of the shoulder strap.. BIG PLUS. And that my darling wife can't over pack it... lol will definitely look into getting the bag for next year as the snow is flying here and the old girl has been put to bed for the winter. Ride Safe and look forward to your next video.. cheers from the Great White North 🇨🇦... one other thing Ryan, is there a model name or number for the bag?

    Rickrac bag is so much easier, has a better hook up and comes with casters, why carry it when you can wheel it.. I purchased the large bag and used it two times then Rickrac introduced the model with casters . I purchased the model with casters on it... Has a better rain cover as well... I now am trying to sell my Rickrax with out casters.

    I always when using a attached bag put everything into a 30 gallon trash bag. I never have trusted just the material and cover.

    Good info. Did you weigh the bag after you fully loaded it? This isn't about the bag - obviously the bag can handle the weight of the contents. Rather, I'm curious how much weight you are comfortable loading onto, and carrying on, your rack.

    • @FullThrottleHOG
      @FullThrottleHOG  Год назад

      I didn’t weigh it, but if I had to guess, I would say it was around 30-35 lbs.

    Looks like a good bag. I have a Kuryakyn bag with handle and wheels. The rain cover is attached to the pocket, It uses Velcro straps to secure it to the rack. Being Old School I always use bungie cords front and side to help with mounting, however, I find that bags like this leads to over packing.
