It's hard to be a teacher when you're well supported by the school administration and parents, its even harder when they're not, and these days they're very much not. You see it all the time on the news, on YT, on Tik Tok, kids are just being incredibly disrespectful to teachers, insulting them, assaulting them even, and the school administrators just don't care, and the parents just blame the teachers for not "teaching their kids how to be respectful" as if that isn't the parents job SMH

(these were 7-8y/o kids) She would call a kid with ADHD who chewed on his shirt and got it wet with saliva "drool monkey". She would make fun of the high-functioning autistic kid who was his friend for sticking up for him. Whenever I had a wrong answer to one of her questions I was forced to put my head down. She, after a certain amount of time, assumed I was a lost cause and took my math textbook away from me. However. This story has a good ending, as she got careless. She was the homeroom teacher, teaching science, math, and reading... When she was teaching a lecture on solar and wind power, she did a demonstration where she walked past us while we had our hands out. This was when it all came back to bite her as the current ace of the soccer team and one of the SPED kids (IDR) tripped her, knocking her clean on her face. This breaks two of her ribs, as she is well overweight, we next see her in class with a cane and I thought with a smile "She deserved it". She even asked us "Did you do it on purpose?" but she never got a confession, because it was a crowd she ran into, a crowd of people she threw under the bus, now do the same to her. Some might say that this was overkill to get revenge on our teacher this way, but the way I see it, she was going to do this to more people than just us. This isn't even mentioning the fact she had been teaching for 20 years prior. (I feel sorry for them...)
