    Bought a first bottle of this and agree 100 Percent, like a coastal or island malt reminds me a little of the new Glen Glassaughrange or an Arran, great enthusiastic review, many thanks

    This is a true favourite of mine. Absolutely love the slightly different and (admittedly) somewhat odd industrial notes it offers. It's certainly not your typical Speyside! I go back to it more often than to most of the other bottles on my shelf. Hovering around eighty bucks here in Ontario, for a 13 year old of this quality, it's pretty much a no brainer!
    Have served up a few blinds for friends and neighbours with Craigellachie 13 and it's come out on top more than once.
    Worm tubs rock my world!
    Encouraged now to sip it in my glass this evening...thanks.
    Cheers, my friend 🥃🥃

    G'day Jon. Yes, I agree, the Craigellachie 13 YO is a big, meaty dram sure to please those who love that style. It's my favourite of the Dewar's 'Last Great Malts'. My bottle needed some airing but thereafter was perfect. Definitely non-chill-filtered, it clouded up big time with water. A nice price in Australia too, around $90 (compare $100 for the Dewar's 18 YO Blend). All the best.

      @WhiskyNeighbour  3 года назад

      I should have mentioned giving it time, thanks for sharing your experience. What do you think about Dewars’s 18? I have not had it yet, but I do have it in a tasting pack I hope to open soon. Enjoy the week!

    Lethbridge, Alberta neighbour here. If you peel that Canadian English/French label off the Cannister, you'll see the Scottish label underneath and it is non-chill filtered. Probably no colour either, but no word on that. We'd need a German or EU label, because they have to declare it.

    Craigellachie is amazing. I get the pineapple note along with sour cream and bacon! Weird right, but very enjoyable. From what I understand the 13 is all ex bourbon (mostly first fill) no sherry, (the 17 is sherried). Right now my monthly drams consist of Loch Lomond 12, teeling small batch, and lohin mckinnon, as well as a bottle of Marsala. Cheers neighbour, love the reviews!

    I feel on the nose marmalade, apple, pineapple, a light citrus note, and i think it's all. On the palate, kind of same thing. It is a little spice on the palate, which i don't know it is the alcohol or a spice note like pepper, but, in my defense my perception it is not among the best.
