Ah yes my friend! Anyone who claims they did an honest exploration in there, and say they DIDN'T get lost (maybe disoriented?) isn't being truthful LoL!! Appreciate it 👍, Karl
Hey, big thanks for the comment! I had Arrow on the docket for last season but the weather didn't cooperate. Going to get her in '24. Please share a favorite with a couple friends, thanks, Karl 👍👍!
Thanks for sharing. I have done it twice and think it is the most fun hike in Arches. Got a kick out of you getting lost. So did we until we figured out the little arrows. Glad you shared the adventure with your wife to keep you in line and out of trouble. 😀👍
Sure thing Lynn, yes my wife keeps me in line the best she can! We both really enjoyed the day, one of the really amazing hikes I've done. Will probably go back in a month or so and explore a few different twists and turns. Thanks again 👍
Another incredible video and adventure together! I'm hoping to tag a few13ers & 14ers this year. I've been watching more of your climbs here in the front range. Of course I could never take the routes you do but your videos show the incredible beauty of all the peaks around and I want to have that experience. I have completed a few 12ers but ran out of time in 2023 to do anything higher. Your climb of Little Bear to Blanca Peak had me on edge. Of course if I'm watching your video I know it was a successful climb.
Hey thanks very much, appreciate the comment! Looks like some crazy cold is headed out way soon. Great time to start planning for some climbs, even though it's some months away. Best of luck this year! Karl 👍
Karl, once again! This is my favorite adventure spot of all time. Used to get the annual permit for the Furnace, no video ect.. spent months collectively inside there exploring and finding new things everytime. Thank you again for sharing!!!
@@KarlDeckerPresents if you keep working around " the top of furnace" to the east past the entrance to Lomatium there is amazing exploration. Many sun up to sun down travels in the Furnace, many backtracking miles only to find another alternative exit. Man I love Utah!
I did research the limited info on canyoneering Lomatium, found waypoints on alltrails and tried to draw a route. I would love to do that! Would you ever want to get out there with me?@@enchiladasmith014
@@KarlDeckerPresents Absolutely. I plan on being up there mid May backpacking The Maze and exploring Needles further. How was getting permit? I haven't been in there for a couple years.
Thanks for the great video! We did the FF today. I’m 70, my wife is 69, and we completed it, but took 3 1/2 hours due to missing one small rock wall arrow, resulting in a one hour “lost detour”. This was our first time in the FF and we did the self guided hike. Definitely doable. The entire hike is essentially one big rock scramble.
My wife, son and I hiked the Fiery Furnace in July of 2017. We had to wait three days until we could get a permit secured but what an experience! It was awesome and I would love to get back out there from Georgia to do it again maybe it the winter. We went unguided so we could take our time and explore. My son at the time was 13 at the time and short of a couple of sketchy parts the route was a blast. I would certainly avoid it if raining.
They’re an older discontinued model from mamut. She got them from sierra trading post a few years ago. It is crazy how expensive they are these days. . . Cheers
@@KarlDeckerPresents. Thanks, Karl! I’ll check them out. And yes, things are crazy expensive! Sometimes I look for good used stuff to offset this hobby
I use it online simply going to Google Earth through my browser and then record all my points in a project and play it back as a slideshow. Then I usually change up the speed a little in my video editor. It’s quite a process to be honest, but using Google Arista brows around is great.
That was cool as hell.
Thanks Brother! Having moved nearby Arches heads way more to offer than I realized!
Yes, we need to get back to southern Utah again. Great area. @@KarlDeckerPresents
When you said how many times you guys got lost, I said to myself “I’m not the only one”! Great video!

Your cinematography is just unmatched. I cant wait for some more San Juan content! Please put arrow peak on the calendar!!

I agree 💯 percent!
I enjoyed this Arches series. It's a great place to hike and especially in the winter. Well done Karl.
Glad you enjoyed it! This is a very compelling hiking and scenic wonderland, had to share it! Thank you🙏🙏. Karl

Beautiful video. Great overheads. Thanks to Alice Ford for your channel suggestion.
Huge Thanks! I have been a fan of Alice's forever, cool to think she a fan of mine as well. I'm curious where did you saw her suggestion?
It was in a video that popped up on RUclips this week, in which she explained why she would be posting less in the near future. @@KarlDeckerPresents
Another great video Karl! Thank you sir, looks like an amazing place to visit!
You've just put this one on top of my Moab visit list. Just stunning presentation and scenery. Well done yet again!
Awesome, thank you! You'll have a spectacular day! Karl 👍
Absolutely fantastic Karl !! 🙂
Very pleased, many thanks Petr 👍👍!

So deeply enjoyed that Karl and Andie, you guys did the Furnace justice, great composition!! Going to watch again tonight, thanks 🙏🙏! Amazing place
Really appreciate it my friend 😊, personally the Furnace struck a chord with me. Quite amazing and humbling at the same time!

Awesome videos of Arches NP! Winter is the best time to visit. Continue your great work!

I could see it being sketch in the wet, good advice. Hope you get the chance to get back out there soon! Appreciate the comment, Karl 👍
Like a giant maze. So beautiful and enthralling! What is the make and model of your wife’s pants? Those look great for scrambling and rock climbing… 👍
Thanks again my friend, THAT is a very unique set of formations... I'll ask her about the pants and shoot off another reply. Karl 👍

Hi! What map did you use? Alltrails or Fatmap or other? thanks!
All trails was useful, use it religiously on this one, if I had used it more I would have realized I missed Skull arch!
