- Hello howdy, as mentioned at the beginning of the video: I do not own the original song, did not make the original parody, nor did I make this cover!
I was frustrated to see that this version of the parody had disappeared off RUclips so I decided to put this together so it may be shared again! Luckily I had downloaded it before it was poofed! You may see the credit in the video and in the title don't match: unfortunately when I downloaded the song, it was uploaded by a user called Jxmie with no credit. FORTUNATELY commenters like remjoleea and heehoo gave me the correct attributes! (Thank you!!)

I think this version of the song is so funny, because while the original actually sounds like a prepubescent 13-year-old boy, this cover sounds like the same guy but a few years older. So all I can imagine listening to both of them is karkat singing the original on his 6th wriggling day, and then the cover several years later on the meteor 😭

thank you for preserving this T_T i genuinely cant listen to either the original song or the original parody anymore, this version is just too good. also the name of the person singing for karkat is Casey Mongillo! they did some fan projects voicing karkat for a while before becoming a professional va in the anime dubbing industry. no idea how this in particulsr happened, but i think it was posted on their instagram, based on the description of another upload.

To those who don’t know, this person used to run a blog called “ask karkat voice” which is understandably not available anymore (their collaborator was an ass!!)
They’ve been recording their own music for years at this point and I highly recommend checking it out!! Search “hi I’m case” or “caseJackal” for their more experimental furry stuff. All of their albums are super good.
