This is 1 of the best northeast vids I have seen yet. Like the sticker on your sluice. Long story short, I live in rhode island, the VA advised taking up another outdoor hobby. So I wanted to give this a try. I don't think I am going to get rich or anything. Was wondering if you could school me on what gear to buy and how to find a decent spot so I don't have to drive halfway to Canada. Lol I am in my 30's and want to get outdoor more. Reach out and let me know please bud.

Hey glad to hear you are interested, you can get a pan at bass pro or cabelas or Amazon. Amazon you could order a sluice aswell.
There's gold all over the place really its just on how much and how much work to get it there's places it's easy gold easy work but "it's still work" I do well but I do alot , just stick with it and test before you put to much time in one part of the creek mite have gold another none.
Western mass along the berks there's gold and along the Vermont and New Hampshire line and all along the conn River just about any creek will have gold.
Green River, cold river, falls river , couch brook keets brook all around Adamsville, Windsor creek around beckett,
Then the more you head into Vermont along route 100 there's great gold for about 30/50 miles wide all the way to Canada. I like the Windsor county vt area the most but there's great spots further up. Nh has great gold and relaxed laws 👌 try twin river campground you could buy all your stuff there / camp in a cabin or tent and mine a private stretch of river.

@@GramCanyonSam once again, best response and most detailed information I have received since reaching out to people! Your top notch bro! Which sluice do you recommend I get. I keep hearing the dream mat 36 inch long one. I got all the pans and classifiers in from Amazon Friday. All I need is the sluice, and a way to be able "if there is any" maps online to see where the supposed "gold belts" are. I tried to look online to see where there Was Ancient volcanic and tectonic activities in the northeast. The info is either limited "which I don't think is the case" or I am typing in the wrong key words. I am getting ready just to go to the geo dept at the college I graduated from. Another thing, idk ? I did, but I watched a couple of shorts from people in California, Nevada west coast. It made me sick seeing the shit they were getting from the rivers. That's if the video is legit though. But thanks again bro, I will stay in contact. I am only in rhode island

Boston itself Sits on gold blue hills obs. Has gold ore on display. I've mined more weight in gold from my home town than all my gold totaled to date! 1 3 7 21 miles off the coast there is caldera gold & silver deposits my local mine has great values for the area.
If you guys drive south head over to the "Satan's kingdom area" on the east side of the conn. Or head west to Bernardston , Colerain, Adamsville area the nh gold trend runs on the east down to the quabin res and Vermont trend runs into mass around adamsville

    • @GramCanyonSam

I've still found more weight in Massachusetts than any and all other states combined ! Add up all my California years it's a fraction of the total. I don't even have to leave town I could go back to working the mine in town that produces great returns on smelts bit of dangerous work but worth it.
If I can keep getting more folks interested in the state it would be nice to exploit more of the rivers and beaches ⛱️ the garnet sand on revere Beach near Boston has gold as does Falmouth and Mashpee in cape cod.
Out in Central and western mass you can find pcs up to a gram for sure I've found atleast 4 or 5 over the years. All the glacial til has gold almost all the ground is rocky til in the state so basically flour gold can be found anywhere even my yard.
My property is also on the outer ring of a caldera so is the mine "same ring" there is known gold deposits all through the system into Boston. Blue hills state park has a display with free mill gold in quartz from the property 👌.
Needless to say there's been gold and silver mined here since the early 1700s it's just not talked about and very over owned at this point. But there are still ways to get the color.

Mines here date back to the early 1700s even . Gold in creeks and rivers can be found best out beyond the conn. River but there is gold even on some mass beaches and gravel pits throughout the state. • @GramCanyonSam
      @GramCanyonSam  Год назад

I personally don't sweat over "pitch" etc I learned mining out in the motherlode not to spend or think to much about the box and losing gold . The box needs a little pitch and straight flow once you see the "v" in the water entering the box it's good and as long as the water coming off the bottom is equal each side it's level side to side .
The more the material you move the more gold you will get and 90% of it stays at the top 3" of the sluice so don't worry about it rolling out. I literally wipe the riffles to create more room and see if I have gold and nothing ever gets out

Some of my best friends live there and I also love the environment air sun etc is all different 👌 the gold is a side effect. It's a weird situation really because you can find alot bigger pcs out west and lots of fine per pan compared to a pan in the east but I could get the Same amount of weight mining either or due to the fact there is no travel hiking etc effort put into going in the east which equals more ground moved not walked. But then again I'd never find a 1 ounce PC here I did in California.

South western part of the state is tricky but still odds of finds. If I was you I'd start on the Farmington river area creeks feeding into it and over by Tolland there is a few old refractory mines. If not any creek coming down off the berks is worth trying. But the more you go north the better you will do. Windsor / beckett both good towns and all up along the border to Vermont mostly along the conn River, almost all creeks dumping into the conn on both sides will have gold. Best of luck i hope that helps.

Rule #1 don't spotlight yourself! Lol well in that way anyways ! Calling a town is not calling the "state" or better yet fish & game they would be the ones that would actually have the slightest bit of correct information. The two things you need to worry about are
      1. Staying off posted and or protected wildlife areas.
      2. Making sure you leave no trash behind.
Other than that like I said there are no mining laws in Massachusetts no permits are required to prospect . You need more permission and permits to metal detect than gold pan in the state"

I'd say it was probably a 100$ roi trip out to the creek. I stopped selling gold in 2020 but before that point if I was selling on the eastcoast it's mostly private sales through yt in paydirt as Massachusetts doesn't not have placer gold buyers jewelers will buy it if it smelted to 24k. If I was out in California selling its pretty easy there are buyers all over the place that will take it rite out of the mountain but it's only 88%of 20k fine price so it's still worth more selling into paydirt . I'd get 24k price for a seeded gram bag with unsearched materials that could hold more value.

    • @GramCanyonSam
      @GramCanyonSam  11 месяцев назад

I have to disagree. 21b is the only mining laws that is for large scale mining in Massachusetts you can not apply anywhere for a sluice via a mass gov page. You will find all types of out of state claims to what's allowed and you can and must apply to metal detect as Massachusetts is a hotbed for artifacts.
I do agree NH and ME both require permits to sluice and Dredge not pan . Vermont sluice permits are only issued to private land all state property is hands and pans.

Been at this many years in 12 states I've mined around a pound a gold since I started I can assure you it's gold. And don't let fools gold fool you my lode mining record is over a pound mined and sold that's how I funded my adventures that was all refracted out of arseno pyrite with gelena which yielded lots more silver than I got In gold 😉 not all that's shiny is pure gold but It can yield enough trace ppm to smelt a bar

I Think You Have been {every body} listing to geologist to much about glacial soil. Think about what the earth had to look then now looks round.

I mine all over the country I'm not paying attention to glacial action it's pointless and I'm well aware of the insides and outside of the earth now and then and when in question I can typically put the puzzle together. My gold total speaks for itself I do very well from Massachusetts to California just by using my self taught knowledge of all things related to the earth and metals

Why do people feel compelled to grossly embellish and mislead their finds?
Your thumbnail photoshop is sh*t and calling that a gold nugget is at best a stretch.
Just be honest, it's a reasonable expectation.

How about the 90% of youtube farming their views and subs & 75% of major channels planting gold.
You clicked the video clearly my photoshop rattled that peanut can of yours.
As for this videos find , I'd love to see you come to Massachusetts and find a pickable piece of gold even or dust for that matter.
Fact of the matter is I'm out in America finding gold you are most likely messing around with pay dirt or nothing at all and watching others enjoy nature and be rewarded.
      Let's just be honest.
Thanks for stopping by and helping the algorithm by clicking & commenting 😀 😄 let's be honest my video & mining skills are there to upset and make normal people happy.

Is the metal nessicary? I don't like metal nor modern pop music. It died after the soul from the sixtys. Old Punk, reggae from the sixtys, old county and various folk music is great. Anything that's working class and proud of it. That's not metal. hell, Classical music is great, try and read about a dude called Rosete (sic). Cool back story and beautiful violin concertos.

I am a man of all music 🎶 I listen to what ever I "hear" and what is in my moment. Metal music is not common with me but definitely in the mix.
As for choice of music for a video I've had 1000's of discussions from all different people about all different types of music I decided to put in.
At the end of the day if I switch music to suit you then I upset someone else and vice versa 💯 % of the time. So with that being said I put in what I feel for that clip or vibe of day or video . And most the time I don't put in music at all anymore for the reason of de monetization and or upsetting my viewers.
So I am sorry if it upset you 😔 but at the end of the day I do what I do and I can only hope you end up back for another video 📹 😊.
Cheers 🍻 have a good day
