Love your style and that you share with humor. Don't you dare even hint at where you are! I love the commenter who knows you so little, that you needed to be reminded of Jet Dry HA! ThanX & looking for more.
I was a gold prospector in northern ontario throughout my youth, with my Dad. I believe you're going to get me back into it... I've still got my pans and sluice box. We used to travel all over the US and hit up the open GPAA claims back in the day. Up north of Duluth myself these days. Love your channel.
@@GlacialGoldHunter in Northern Ontario we found some placer gold in till deposits but it was mostly lode gold tied up in rocks and out of reach of total amateurs like we were, and lacking any financial backers. We used to hear rumors of people panning out Diamonds and other gemstones farther down the north shore towards the Wawa area. We were working the Nipigon area ourselves. Beautiful territory. The real gold was the memories with my Dad.
Great video, really enjoyable to watch, I like how you try ordinary places all over the place , I also like how you explain the geology , very interesting, peace ✌️
I know exactly where that is. Used to play in that stream when I was a kid catching tadpoles and stuff. My name is carved in that wall several places too... 🤣
Very nice clean out. That was nice gold for panning 3 buckets. Too bad you couldn’t use a sluice to run more material. My opinion, you did awesome, thanks for the video, good stuff!!
Be sure to use a surfactant in your water like jet dry... also try holding your spoon backwards allowing the water to take the cons off the spoon at its own pace.. slower feed is better.. good vids man..
Diggin the vids man! Should give a shot on the Wisconsin River near the central part of the state. Really cool bedrock, boulder and gravel areas when the water is low. Gotten quite a few specs and lots of garnets/black sand.
Panning around Rainy lake might give you something. There where some old gold mines up there. I actually visited two of them. The one on Little American island and Bushyhead island.
You might want to check where the tree roots meet land and water. Gold will get caught in the dirt in the roots and large rocks even in medium moving water.
I wish rules would change. I'm in Wisconsin, and it would be nice to at least use a battery-powered sluice box while recirculating the water in a tub. Keep getting that Au!
Great channel. I get some chuckles because you’re a funny person (as in funny haha not funny 😮) and I get to learn stuff. How do I classify Illinoisans? They come in a lot of sizes in S.E. Wisconsin.
@@GlacialGoldHunter hahaha. But really! I have always thought due to the glaciers there has to be gold or even diamonds in Minnesota! Have you found any silver at all?
I have a question I'm in northern indiana. What do I need to look for to find geodes? I have heard there are geodes in the Hoosier National Forest south of Indianapolis but I was hoping to find some closer to home. Thanks
Have you had a chance to see who many gold mines in Randolph county n.c. and Asheboro n.c. It's a great place not in the summer.snakes are large rattlesnakes.
You will never find that monster gold nugget if you never go looking for it! I am loving your content. Thank you!
Thank you!
You are my favorite local RUclipsr! Thank you so much for posting these videos. I’m learning a lot and am excited to show these to my kids!
Love the channel very informational i learn alot watching your content thanks for sharing.
the gold gods appreciate a dude in sandals putting in the work.
Keep up the great work!

I hear there is a lot more gold in Ontario. But it’s still fun to find the specks.

Thank Mr Wizard! I do my best and have fun doing it.
Great dialogue. Very fun , friend.
Thank you!
Any waterway or body of water put here by God. The people have the right to enjoy that body of water freely. 🇺🇸👊💪
panning copper even finding large chunks if it is 100% a thing! looks like you found a great spot. thanks for the share! stay awesome!

Another great video

You put out some fun videos.
I try!
Very nice, fun is right

That little spot was a glory hole.
Great Job! Congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You definitely earned my subscription ❤
Thank you!
Dude I'm in Saint Paul and love your channel. If you are ever around again let me know. I would love to buy you a beer and learn from you
Louisville Kentucky. Nice❤
LaCrosse here, just down river. Learned a lot, kudos.
I'm so glad that you fill your holes! I'm sick of stepping in them at Nugget!!
Yeah there are signs there that tell people to fill the holes but they don’t.
Looks like a fun time it gives me the urge to explore the river here around Siouxfalls
Give it a try!
Hi, I am from Wisconsin and you seem like a regular guy, I like that because I am too. Like your channel thanks 👍😊
Thank you!
I know right where you are. I've thought of checking that area before.

Good advice.
If someone asks what's top the tater... Well. They haven't lived much life! Good work!!
That’s right!

Cool. I’ll keep that in mind.
Cool. I’ll keep that in mind.
Do the Iron Range. The U of M has several maps around the basalt with quart vein areas. Good panning :)
I haven’t seen those maps. That would be interesting to see. I was up there panning til but never saw quartz veins.
Good stuff. Have you ever thought about skippy dipping over to your to friendly neighborhood home improvement store and pan a 50 lb bag of sand?
Might be a good winter video.
Doing it right!! Yes I hear ya about those grey area rules.. ever worse up here in British Columbia..
Lots more gold in British Columbia though.
I haven't asked where you are but I do think youre a lot of fun. I live in MN near the Rum in Anoka, maybe Ill see you one day...
Keep an eye out!
You should ask St. Anthony to help you find the gold. Bet! He found my grandma's wedding ring. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’ve never met him but I’ve been there.
@@GlacialGoldHunter he knows where all the gold lies.
Panning around Rainy lake might give you something. There where some old gold mines up there. I actually visited two of them. The one on Little American island and Bushyhead island.
I was up around lake vermilion not long ago. Rainy lake is way up there.
@@GlacialGoldHunter how much gold did you get?
Fun video.
That’s the goal!
I was watching and you were looking for indicators and if I'm not mistaking if you find rough garnets that is also an indictor.
It can be an indicator that dense material is gathering there. But not necessarily that there is gold.
hey Proving alot of folks wrong with these pans. I might have to get my pans back out!! see ya out there
Yep you know not find it if you’re out looking for it.
You might want to check where the tree roots meet land and water. Gold will get caught in the dirt in the roots and large rocks even in medium moving water.
Cool. I’ll have to go back and check that out.
I wish rules would change. I'm in Wisconsin, and it would be nice to at least use a battery-powered sluice box while recirculating the water in a tub. Keep getting that Au!
I know. Apparently you can do that in Iowa still. That’s the rumor anyway.
@GlacialGoldHunter if we can't use them in the U.P. of Michigan again next year, I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the info.

😆 not sure how to deal with the Illinois boys. Maybe build a wall.
💙💛
Fine gold shows up better in blue pans.
Probably true.
If it’s not a picker, I usually called them a poker as you can poke it around the pan
That’s a good word for it.

That’s a good question. I’ve never gone geode hunting myself so I don’t really know the best way to look for them. But I wish you luck.
One of these days that gravity test is going to disappoint you and you might not come back down. Be careful.
PS I have seen copper paydirt for sale.
😆
Man if you did that for a couple months you might make a couple bucks.😂😂
The money is in the views. 😆

I bet you wish you were in Canada where most of the glacial gold comes from.
That would sure be fun.
Quit trying identifying their wording. They will stop you too
