    It'll only take one trip where you get sick before you get a water filter. They're pretty cheap and compact these days.

      Similar! This is what I packed for a 4 day hike in the snowy mountains. We needed much more food for the western Arthur's; we also took more gas, ropes and an EPRB :)

      @@georginahayes766 Your video of the WA hike looked like you might have had good weather. But did you take emergency repair items like gaffer tape, cordage etc? BTW My daughter just completed the WA trail with three girlfriends a couple of days ago. One night the wind was so strong it broke her (new high quality) tent and one of her friends. It ended up four in a two person tent for two nights. How do you prepare for that!?

      I try to keep it under 15/16 kgs to start!
