If all goes to plan (🙏), my son will be the next steward of my Gear Up when I’m too old to ride her any longer, and we love to accessorize it bit by bit when we have the time. That said, it gives him that feeling of ownership, and knowledge of the machine you can’t get any other way than by spending time turning wrenches. For anyone looking to own one of these, there are 3 options that rise above all the others, and even tho they aren’t given a lot of screen time on Ural videos, they have the most dramatic impacts on the machine (IMHO). #1 is the air horn. Stock motorcycle horns are wimpy, but these will REALLY wake someone up when you truly need it. #2 is the headlight visor. I live in a valley where morning & evening fog can get extreme. It keeps the LED beam low, where it’s needed most, and keeps the light from reflecting back at you! #3 is the sidecar floorboards. The moment we put those in, I saw the instantaneous comfort & confidence level of my passengers skyrocket. They allow riders of all shapes & sizes to “lock their heels in”, and confidently secure themselves in a comfortable position. It’s a very inexpensive option that I would never want to do without, and can be installed in 60 seconds. Ride safe out there my brothers & sisters!
@chrishart8548 Thank you, sir, for your reply, here in South america, we still use the british traffic rules, it says any side car or attachment on any motor cycle must be fitted on the left side of the said motor cycle, and a license is required for such or any attachment. The attached must be fitted with a yellow light in front that is visible from a distance not less 500 yards at night and the rear of the side car or attachment must be fitted with a red reflector and a red light. The side car must bore the registration number of the motorcycle in front and the back of the prescribed size and color. I am thinking of buying one of these ural bike and the side car, especially the diesel one.
I live in Australia and owned an Ural with the side car on the left. Difficult to use the kick starter though, as it's between the bike and the side car. I'm sorry i sold it.
I forgot to mention that my outfit was just the single rear wheel drive as they didn't make the two wheel drive for left hand drive. @@ChandradattSingh-u7q

Thanks for your recommendations Jim!
I want one
When i purchased my Ural was is suggested that you don't carry petrol in the jerrycans, has that changed?
Every Ural rider I know uses the Jerry cans for additional fuel.
A question, sir,
Can the side car be fitted on the left hand side
It is a traffic law requirement for the south America
Good question . I'm In the UK I don't know if it's required to be on the left but I prefer it to be.

@hankcuccina5260 Thank you, sir .
I now understand why the side car is mounted on the right side.
