An electronic musician who actually does something besides hit play when performing live, brilliant. This is one of the most amazing performances I've ever seen, totally mind-boggling.
If you are talking performance wise, I have to disagree and say it depends. Some musicians can drain dozens of hours into making their music perfect. And they might not be able to exactly perform dozens of hours of work into a single 5 minute song like some people are lucky enough to do.
Tristan Saunders You have to disagree that this is one of the most amazing performances HE has seen? How can you disagree with that without knowing every single performance he has seen?

Well alright, then. I'm an old dog (56), and I've played with great bands, toured; I thought I'd seen it all. This guy is AMAZING.
From this point onwards I cannot see Robert DeLong as anything but a techno-wizard.

The term "genius" is thrown around a lot these days, but this guy is a hell of a musician.
While some of his songwriting isn't the best, his performance style, incorporating technology and musicianship, is the way in which music will be taken to the next level over the next 50 years.
Man his lyrics are so moving! Thought provoking.... In fact I like his lyrics so much I am going to get 'be not afraid it's just a game' tattooed on my ribs

these lyrics have meaning to certain people. a deep and powerful meaning. just because you don’t understand them or you can’t relate to them doesn’t mean they’re bad. this person wants to get a tattoo of his lyrics and probably has honestly gotten it already, because they found meaning in it. it’s their decision.

I've been lucky enough to see Robert live twice, and each time it has been the best show I've ever seen.

Saw him live yesterday. Fuckin' awesome. I'm guessing DeLong is a gamer as he uses a PC joystick, a gaming steering wheel, Wii-Mote & a gamepad in his music mixes.
He was incredible at Groovin the Moo. Saw his set purely on recommendation, knowing none of his tunes. One of the highlights of the day.
