Man killed on 1st day of new job in SF Mission District shooting

- Witnesses say the victim was shot outside the barber shop and that he stumbled back inside, collapsed and died. Neighbors described the victim as being in his 20s, and that he was from Venezuela. They say it was the victim's first day at work in the barbershop.

That’s what happens. They do dirt when they’re younger then they decide to do something different when they’re older, but they forget about the enemies that they have out there steel wanting to get them.

Mayor keeps saying the crimes are down while robbery and shooting are still taking place daily in the Mission area. SFPD needs to step up and secure the Mission area. Or else expect a new mayor and police chief this fall.
It's a sure thing that London Breed is out this November. And she will claim it's racism and systemic policies that are preventing her from being re-elected. And she's right. It is racism. We are done with her protecting her own demographic to commit crime against the rest of us. We are done with her appointing an inept district attorney who, like her Aunt in the East Bay, DA Pamela Price, all work to do all they can in protecting their own but leaving the rest of society to be the victims, then have the nerve to scream racism about it. So yes, it is a racial issue for many of us. She doesn't protect the Asian community, clear as fuck isn't protecting the Latinos in Mission, and well, downtown, the bridge and tunnel crowd from Oakland commit crime over there, DA lets them out, they get on BART and come over here, and do the same thing and our DA lets them out in time for dinner at home with their mom who thinks they're good sons and daughters are off in college when they're ripping off society. And historically, if you look at places where the Mayors appoint the Police Chief and DA as both Oakland and SF have, as well as other places in the nation, and have been of the same racial or ethnic background or consider themselves "minorities" in their communities (where in fact they're the majority just barely)...think the Southern States....you tend to have a LOT of criminality on the streets but even more with the government level between those three offices, which essentially are the Executive Mayor, Judicial DA and Legislative Police all working without checks or balances - yes Whites in power are the same issue - this is what happens. So we have to start balancing it out with either a Mayor or a DA or a Police Chief who is so hard on crime that the other two look like they're the ones committing and aiding in the committal of crimes and end up getting on board. For me this means that in SF, we have a triple threat and need to get all three out of office.

I don’t understand the so called mayor saying that the crime is down while we’ve thugs waiting for stolen goods to buy in 7th and market and nothing happens to them. Our city is gone( ghost city)
Allow me to explain it to you. The politicians claims are based off of statistics from the police department. The number of crimes reported to the police. However at high-crime areas, people stop reporting crime to the police since they know it's a waste of time and nothing will be done. So the number of police reports go down, and the conclusion is that crime goes down! Easy!

These killings are not random; they're part of establishing and maintaining territory. Groups (not gangs) don't like people outside of their area coming in and taking jobs, transforming their unique identity. So individuals from these groups decide that they'll target people who aren't in their circle. Same thing with Asian hate crime; it is no accident that the woman who attacked the elderly Asian American women was black. If you look up the attacker's social media you will see a clear pattern. Restorative justice policies and non-incarceration only fuel the violence and increase the suffering of innocents.
Well then again some communities cant help themselves, and some communities thrive.

This is nothing new in the Mission district these people talking about. I was born and raised there. Got the first-hand witness to drive-by across the street at the small corner store right up the block from us at the bus stop another shooting and killing our cousins best friends grandson was mistaken because of the clothes he was wearing and he was gone down right in front of his house when coming back home from college break. One of our involved and one of the gangs there he shot somebody went away to prison, but was released and just a couple years to just commit murder her second time.
Can understand the owner of Laya saying he’s never seen this before he grew up there, but he has a restaurant he wants people to come to, so of course he’s going to say he’s never seen anything like this. Otherwise he would scare away a customers. .
It would be nice if the news actually told real news real stories with real investigations .
Like showing the names and faces of the judges and the district attorneys defense lawyers who keep re-releasing dangerous, criminals back out on the street when they come in a crime and kill somebody else .
The news media in the newspaper on the television show the face and the name of the judge and the defense, lawyer and involved in releasing that deadly criminal back out on the street should be held liable for murder
When did you grow up there? You look a little older, so I would guess the 70s, 80s, or 90s? Times were definitely different then. Gang activity has died down quite a bit nowadays. The neighborhood itself is still rough (it's no Tenderloin), but shootings are absolutely not an everyday occurrence.
