Probably because he gets asked the same questions all the time. I've read his books and seen him live, his books are great, live not so great. The time I saw him he seemed to level his talk as if he's talking to a group of kids although the place was jam packed with adults who had probably read his books. It was a bit of a snooze fest to be honest, the best part was the Q&A where the audience got to ask questions. The bar got raised at that point but unfortunately it didn't last long.

Besides human currency value, and specific electronic components, gold really is a useless element, at least from a chemical or mechanical standpoint. It’s very heavy, and it bends easily. You have to mix it with other metals to make proper jewelry with it that will last.

It's great that Michio talk freely without interrupting thoughts with constant questions. Sound quality was excellent to listen to. A bit transparent about how he positions himself as a possible explainer of theory of everything, but it is possible that he thinks that he knows it. There is still the open issue of information and its structures itself, such as consciousness and its relation to physics. Perhaps machine consciousness can understand this more clearly than humans do.

I enjoyed their discussion. then scrolled down till i saw a comment more than a few words.
Seems we evolved enough to be self aware, with the ability to grade our physical and intellectual abilities amongst others. Some also conceived the concept of there being a creator of all we could sense, though the more persuasive, now millennia ago, generated this being to be human like in its thinking, those persuasive ones referring to this creator as "he".

Dr. Michio Kaku, The always engaging 'Layman Whisperer' in the scientific theatre of what is possible, probable, and beyond in the multiverse. Lex is always respectful and always seeks to hear before being heard, but I can't remember an interview where he appeared so engaged, yet conversed so little.
Lex seemed by design or default to admiringly hop aboard the "Kaku Tram" and provide some navigational assistance, but really take in and enjoy the ride.
Special thanks to the late great radio broadcaster Art Bell, for whom there was and is no equal. He introduced the world to the incredible Dr. Kaku on his show, "Coast to Coast". Art's commitment to guests like Kaku and others inspired, educated, and enlightened two generations and millions of people. He single-handedly made vigilant curiosity and deep-dive intelligence next-level cool.
Lex is "Art 2.0" and I feel so fortunate to be able to view such amazing, learned and witty discussions.
