- The Heavy Splatling has to be one of the most popular to use Splatling weapon in Splatoon 3 right now. Although you don't see huge ton of use of it in competitive as things like Crab Tank Splash o Matic running around.
It is backed with a fairly usable kit of sprinkler and Wave Breaker which wave breaker being a huge selling point for the weapon as it allows it to make space for itself
and as a back line weapon its very good a capitalizing on those opponents that get tagged or are jumping around.
in this video you see me use the Heavy Splatling climbing the Top 500 ranks while at the end of the video see a interesting conversation about "rizz" and British slang!

If Heavy had a better sub, (or if Sprinkler gets a buff), this kit would be absolutely one of the best.

as a splatling (hydra splatling, heavy splatling, ballpoint splatling, etc but mostly hydra) main, I am at peace for this video.
I actually used this weapon for the first time yesterday evening and my goodness it was definitely up there with how much fun I’ve had.
I'm a total casual, but I LOVE my Heavy Splatling
Nothing wrong with being casual, way less stressful. I used to sweat Splatoon 2 but it gave me little reward, so now I focus on fun weapons to play in ranked.
i want them to bring back the splatoon 1 animations so i can hug my heavy splatling after a match

Wow I didn’t know anarchy battle had this weird problem of splash shooter and the crab. I hope they balance it cause there is ton of cool other weapons. My favourite weapon to see Dude have his his Squeezer bottle thing cause it’s cool to see people do amazing stuff with weapon what have strange thing to them

Always loved the heavy, my go to splatling. Also man if a pro player is saying the splash needs a nerf, then you know things are bad. Also wow, haven't heard peng in years. Funny thing is it used to mean the opposite of what it did, then it got replaced by butters.
I started using Splatlings for the first time a couple days ago and the Heavy plays absolutely amazing. Can't believe I took so long to explore this weapon class.
I'm still used to running around with my Sloshers so it's easier for me to use this over the Hydra with how much less mobile it is, though that one is also pretty fun

Splatlings are really underrated, more people should pick them up and see what they're capable of.
And this is coming from an Inkbrush main, so when I say Splatlings are underrated you know they're underrated.
Splatlings are great because they really just bully shooters in a unique way-- in fact, I bet half of all Splatling fights are won because a shooter thought "i'll just run at them; they're slow and have a charge time and they might miss; i just gotta get closer"
i mean, that's kinda the whole problem with splash
it suffers from that same issue until the special gauge is filled and suddenly it gets a button that lets it outrange a hydra

As an austrian who listens to quite a lot of Uk rap and drill I always find it amusing to learn new „british“ words or slang.
I even notice myself using it from time to time lmao
I like playing heavy in Splatoon 2 and in Splatoon 3 it is my second most just weapon. It's my number one Turf War and Zone weapon. I did not try it in other modes, just to have variety.
I recommend 2 main ink resistence and 1 main run speed up. Running through enemy ink is live saving and make fighting in close combat easier. Also some subs sub defence can help too. And yes, I play terminator style with this weapon. 🤖

My dream Heavy kit is Splash Wall / Super Chump. The wall would give it a chance against chargers and Super Chump seems like a no brainer to use at range!

in my personal opinion as long as the other team doesn't have a weapon to outrange you (example hydra/ballpoint, e-liter, splat charger, snipe-writer, and maybe tri-stringer but not certain) it is going to perform the best out of all backlines against *sweepers* (support... guess that would be more opinon based) as it does about as good up close as a slosher and it SHREDS objects (and besides you're almost certainly running object shredder on heavy too)
edit: in case anyone wants an idea what to run besides a ton of run speed, about 2-3 intensify action subs is good and generally people run object shredder. Also recommend a sub of bomb defense and 2-4 subs ink resistance.
Heavy making its way to top 500 finally after being kinda outshined by other splatlings in 2 makes me a proud heavy main

I've reached the 5 star freshness meter on the heavy splatling last year! It's one of my favorite weapons in splatoon!
Heavy used to be my favorite Splatling, but it does such a bad job fighting chargers that it makes it less fun to play imo. I'm waiting on a kit with splash wall to help with this

I disagree with "pls nerf splash" bc unlike in 2 where no one used Splash for its special but the burst combo and mpu damage up... it's the "best" crab weapon bc ppl don't like dualies and waiting for suctions to explode I guess. Let's say they made it have 230 crab or something. Ppl will just play dualies lol
