I can't agree with you, because I've played a good amount of the games that came out in 2024 and most of them were great. We had: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth; Tekken 8; Persona 3 Reload; Helldrivers 2; Balatro; Final Fantasy VII Rebirth; Stellar Blade; Black Myth Wukong; Astro Bot; Silent Hill 2; Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero; Metaphor: ReFantazio and yes - Shadow of the Erdtree was a great DLC (better than lots of full game releases). Might have missed some, but those tgere a quite the few worth playing games. I've played and platinumed most of them and the rest are on my "to-do" list since I didn't have the timw for them last year. I mean just because you might not be interested in the big releases - that doesn't make them bad games. It speaks more about your taste than anything else. Cheers! 👌
Yes but you're also forgetting hit masterpiece Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that I did play and then ruined my entire year so it kinda equals out.
@just-a-simple-mirage yeah, sorry but that's an excuse. Everyone had expectations ruined at some point, but that doesn't mean you should dismiss the successes. I had expectations of Rise of the Ronnin, but it turned out mediocre - didn't ruin the other games' experience 🤷 And to be honest if you've seen the reviews of the Suicide Squad you shouldn't even attempted it in the first place 😅
@@MikeRise1991 Twas a joke my friend. I'm glad you had an enjoyable year of gaming with mostly hits but it is my opinion that the overall selection of games and ones I played was weaker than previous years and weaker than this year's potential. That's nothing against the games released that are genuinely amazing because it just means they shine brighter and get more attention.
@@just-a-simple-mirage been playing games activity for the past 10 years and I would say that there were other years far weaker in game selection than 2024. Looking back at 2023 I would say it was pretty much the same in terms of big releases and surprise hits. And yes, the potential of 2025 is huge if all releases happen as planned, but that shouldn't diminish the hits from 2024. Anyway, hope you get to play more and better games this year!
Good games sure but the first two never interested me enough to actually get them and every other game never really gave me that one big moment that I was playing THE game of the year without it immediately undercutting itself. Enjoyable sure but just didn't hit the same way as last year.
@@thechugg4372 I didn't try to list all of them Btw remakes are good, just because it's a remake shouldn't undermine it's value: Astrobot Metaphor Refantazio Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Balatro Animal Well Stellar Blade Black Myth Wukong Silent Hill 2 Remake Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Mario and Luigi Brothership Persona 3 Reload Sonic x Shadow Generations Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Helldivers 2 Marvel Rivals Hellblade 2 Stalker 2
Never had anything interesting come into the cinemas near me sadly and once it gets onto home release things just dissolve into the mess of things trying to get my attention. Hopefully I have more time for it in 2025.
I agree

Seriously that's 3 games, the rest are remakes, please go back to earlier years to see just how many great games we had

in terms of film, 2024 was a good year if you didnt watch the blockbusters. the indie stuff was great. but yeah, compared to 2023, it's hard.
