@@C6v1999 yes, they need to get that clutch upgrade out quickly. Imho the AVA is a long term commitment for Thrustmaster. I'd also like to see a "v2" with a metal housing. The plastic doesn't really fit the price point.
It's good, but pricey, and the first FFB bases have been available for a while with more mainstream one coming from Moza and afaik Virpil. We had TM being late to the party with direct drive wheels already and now with FFB Sticks, again. And they are owned by Guillemot, the same family who controls Ubisoft and is currently running that company into the ground.

@@LupusAries I'd get a WarBRD-D in this case. Supports TM grips and is cheaper, tried and tested. Plus you get the good Virpil support. Winwing is also working on an FFB set if you didn't already notice. :)
Interesting. How backwards-compatible is it? Will my Cougar stick work with it? And what about the throttle and rudders that plug into my Cougar's base?
It should be compatible with the Cougar grip since they share the same connectors. But don't take my word for it. I'll check in with Thrustmaster and tell you what they say!
@@WatchMysh Good work, thank you. I guess that means that the throttle and rudders will not work. Oh well, the Cougar and throttle are ~22 years old and the rudder pedals are even older.
@@SIMRIG412 Not true. I have the AB9 and it’s awesome. It acts as a buttkicker too and the afterburner vibration shakes my whole rig. I love this thing. The software is pretty extensive and easy to use and you can share profiles.
could You make detailed comparison: VKB Gladiator Premium vs Winwing Ursa MInor ? You promissed this episode 4 months ago, at launch of Ursa minor. And.... until today you didnt make it. It would be very usefull for many users to know what exactly we get byuing more expensive VKB, or 2x cheaper Winwing. They look similiar and have similiar set of buttons. Hell has frozen! But only a little...as usual TM charges way too much for what they actually offer. It's clear that their target market remains people who want to get into sims and have plenty of disposable income but don't know much about what's out there or just don't have the time to shop around. It just feels unethical to me.
The Offset adapter has been out of stock since launch. What a pathetic company. I really regret Buying the AVA Base now, Should have went with one of the other brands.
With it being so simple it'll last a long time but with that price tag I think theres better options right now.
Yes. It's a good base but the competition is a bit better and costs the same or less.
Ya just buy Virpil so much better
I'm glad they are updating after all these years, but like many of their long-time customers, I updated to a joystick with clutches for helo use.

@@LupusAries Good points. But I guess there'll always be demand for non ffb bases. Many people use desktop setups and ffb is very pricey on top.

@@Saddl3r you're welcome! My daily drivers are an Orion2 with F15EX grip and a STECS Standard.

Ffb isn’t even worth it yet. Software is so far out from being finished or accurate! So ffb hotas are pointless at this point.

"out if stock" seems to be the default at a lot of sim gear companies.
