Wohhoo! First one on the comments section. I'm only halfway through the video, thought I'd take advantage to say hi and drop a comment as it appears I'm the first one here. As always great work! Love the photo of your dad on the bridge. I feel that's what photography is all about. You're gonna look back on this trip a few years from now and remember how it was a special time with your dad.
Aww good to see you here so early!😍🙌🏼 Thank you for the kind words! And yes, I believe that is in essence what it's all about :)
Big clouds I call sky mountains. Gives me the nebulae vibe ❤
Mhmm like that!
Fellow cloud fan!! Also love those really beautiful shots and can't help myself when photographing clouds either
The shots in the plane, as well as the ones at about 11-14 minutes in were so beautiful and really spoke to me as a cloud fan, very good clouds, very puffy
Ahh great to read your approval from another cloud fan haha!🤗
Ohh my I love your poetic interpretation of the last photograph!🥺👏🏼
I couldn’t hit the like button quick enough! The colors of those images are incredible! 💚
Aww thanks!🥺🙏🏼
Big like for your travel and for that Land Cruiser 79 ! You need a camper like this for better photography, :))
Ohh I'd love to get one like that one day😍
wow, some pretty beautiful shots! :))
I love that truck too 🥰
Right!? They're so cool😍
Really enjoy these photo reviews you do. Great way to break down your process, composition, and at the same time tell a great story of your trip. Also, I too am a cloud fanatic 😄
Aww thanks, really glad to know you like these🤗
Ohh haha then I hope you enjoyed those clouds🤩
Loveeeeee ur vidssss!!!
Just got news from my family that we are planning a trip there next summer! These videos are super inspiring!!
Ohhh amazing!!😍 Thank you! Make sure to bring your camera!🤗
Looked like a pretty amazing trip Teo. Lovely shots, those colours were beautiful 😀
Ohh it was great!🤗
Thanks, film mostly did a good job capturing those :)
@@teocrawford Good stuff! It really did, documented the trip nicely :)
4:54 I saw that many ranger cars and off-road vehicles are white in Africa and I would guess it’s simply because they absorb more heat than darker colors
White reflects the sun, they don't want to absorb the heat :)
All the utility vehicles in hot areas are white, the temperature at the mid-day can be 50°C in white cars and 70 in the black ones.
Ahh yes, that totally makes sense - I hadn't thought of that!🙌🏼
Amazing Vibes buddy! Keep on going :)
Aww thanks!🤗
I personally really dig the symetrical framing you did at 11:00
Ahhh yes, me too, I think it gives the photo extra depth and context - glad you like it too! :))
We were there in june and the sky is always clear - no clouds from morning till night
Ohh really? Then I suspect this must be dependent on the season and maybe because we went in spring it was this mixture🤔
This video was awesome!! My favorite photos were the camping photos at 19:06! Such a nice set!! That camping setup is super cool!🏕
Aww thanks Reimann! Ohh I see, yeah I loved the setup, so had to get these photos haha :D
Hey, great video! What ISO did you use?
Hello Teo I'm a self taught beginner photographer and I'm only 7 months in. I love all your video's so much and they have really helped me on my journey, but I am really struggling to find a direction to go in. Maybe its too early to say that but I just don't know what to do with myself exactly. I know some of the rules/tips for composition and have ideas of style but I don't really have a direction as all I end up doing is just taking photos of things that look interesting but I want to create things with deeper meanings. Any tips or advice from a great photographer like you?
Ahh that's great to read, glad you've found your way into photography!🤗
Two things concerning your question:
1. Don't pressure it and have fun and eventually you'll find yourself naturally going in a direction. Don't go against the flow basically :)
2. If conceptional work with deeper meaning is something you're looking for you might want to try to concentrate on the concept before even thinking about the photography. For these kind of projects Pre-production is key and you'll want to create the photographs and their meaning in your mind first and then handle the execution, like when making a film :) For this you can learn a lot from other photographers, especially photobooks because they often are the end product of a conceptual piece of work🙌🏼🙌🏼
@@teocrawford thank you so much I really appriciate the help
I hardly found paddy field nice to photograph, maybe because I grown up with them and found them boring. My challenge is now to frame them aesthetically.
Do you scan your film yourself?
Yes! I use a lightbed, my Sony A7iii and NegativeLabPro🤗🙌🏼
