As an Illini I have some sympathy for the Huskers right now. That game against Wisconsin was simply awesome.
Its one of those great underdog stories and its a bit of a shame that after that they had this.

We finally played like a team late in the year. I'm not sure why it took so long to adjust the Defense, Nu would be vying for a NCAA tournament bid if the adjustments to the defense would have been made earlier. Lat Mayan is a talented player, however, his second half performance (poor rebounding positioning, fumbled pass on the fast break down 1, lost rebound that resulted in NW ext the lead) in this game cost the team a victory. This is a NCAA tournament calibur team that finished with a losing record... Long sigh... Please Coach make Defense (Zone, Doubling, Etc..) a point of emphasis next year.

What was the point of hoiberg calling that timeout in-between free-throws with 7 seconds left? Did he tell his team whoever gets the ball dribble up the court out of the go 1 on 4 and chuck up a bad shot. I just don't think he's a very good coach.

He’s a good coach just doesn’t have all the players yet.

This game played out very similarly to Nebraska’s conference tournament game last year leading by 14 at halftime and losing.

Here in nebraska we don't believe making adjustments at halftime. It's for amateurs. Just ask Scott frost.

Hoiberg might be a great recruiter but he's a terrible coach. He truly looks uninterested on the sidelines. Never once have I seen him fight for his players. Nebraska seems to always seems to get the short end of the stick officiating, and I think that has a lot to do with hoiberg not ever saying a single thing. I'm sure he cares but he shows no passion.

    NU guy: Nebraska finished strong!
facts: Well, they actually went 3-5 in final 8. Lost by double digits to UMD and lost to NW twice!... is that really strong?
