Thanks, running line management is very important. About a week ago I stumbled in a river when using hip waders. Everything got wet. Undressed, hand twisted everything, continued fishing. All good. :-)
When you fell in I didn’t laugh, well maybe a little, but thought that’s the type of shit that happens to me. I learn some thing new every day. Your tangle management system is really cool. I’m gonna take from this for sure. Thank you.
Haha that's good stuff Tim,thanks for the laugh.🤣 I think I will try the groove on my trout spey rod. For getting deeper I really like the airflo fist it shoots far also. Cheers
@@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins I use one in the salt with a two-hander. It's great there, though I learned that it does complicate standing up if you have taken a fall (would not allow me to get my knees under me to stand). Also, mine being solid plastic, I can see where it could block your view of the very immediate river bottom. You'd want to adjust your wading (or basket position) accordingly. Are stripping baskets common on the rivers, Tim? Thanks for another great video...glad you were okay so I could laugh with you :)
@@chrisnystrom8466 Thanks for the insights Chris, I have not seen stripping baskets on the river but I would love to try one, I think they might work in certain situations! Happy you got a laugh! all is well that ends well! Thanks buddy
@@LineSpeedJediTimRawlins I use the F.I.S.T on spey rods of 12,6-13,7' where the Commando shine is on switch rods! If you stack the shooting line well ! You do 20 strips whit a 11' switch. I use the 35lbs OPST Laser line. My favourite rod now is my Black Master Nano Toray 11' 8# it's so forgiven as it has deep progressive action whit fast recovery! I try 300-350-375-400gr and the last one fit that rod just so perfect. Fun watch your videos Tim 👌 Best regards from Sweden Scandinavia 🇸🇪

May I ask what runnning line would you recommend for that type of shooting head?
OPST Mono Running line oIr Varivas Airs! But I use Berkley Big Game mono # 40! Flies good enough and is cheap.
@@LineSpeedJediTimRawlinsThank you for the reply much appreciated.
How's the groove compare to f.i.s.t. and game changer heads?
I prefer the FIST! Longer, flies like a mother! for longer Rods? The FIST! For Switch Rods? The Groove!

475 gr. OPST GROVE USARLI SU UNA SAGE 15 ' 10 LINE. E' CORRETTO???
It would most likely be too short for a 15' 10 weight rod. Is that what you mean?
Is that rod a Steve Godshall?
No, I got the components from him and built the rod myself, great components!
Someone tell him his strap is twisted.
Guilty as charged!😂
