The problem is even if sanctions are lifted, everyone knows it'll only be temporary, and Iranian airlines will be left billions of dollars out of pocket for a load of aircraft that'll be grounded when parts get sanctioned. Since fuel is cheap in Iran, it'd be best to take a hit on efficiency and go with the late Soviet models (TU-204/IL-96/IL-114) from Russia that are 100% certain to be free of any western components that could be embargoed. With a large enough combined order from Iranian airlines, they could justify some modernisation and efficiency improvements into new varients that are still 100% Russian or Iranian part sourced. Sanctions will be lifted soon and reimposed shortly after unless US and Islamic Republic resolve their issues fundamentally! IR should consider modifying previous orders to include A220-300, A321XLR and E195-E2
After successful local production of nuclear, satellite and military equipments perhaps spare parts creation for passenger planes should be next frontier for Iran. It wont make sense to create a new plane just to fly it in 1 country.
Well at least one set of people benefit from the sanctions, a geeks now flock to Iran to fly and photograph these rare types. I’d certainly want to go if I could, but my family members think I’m mad, especially because I was 15 when I said I wanted to go....
I think Iran should strive to buy the Airbus 320 and 321, wait for the Russian MC -21 and the Chinese aircraft. With that, the problem of aging aircraft, parts, supplies and so on will be solved .
They wouldn’t buy Chinese aircraft because of no support network offered for orders placed. Also they are 1 go 2 generations behind the efficiency of the equivalent Boeing and Airbhs offering and heck even ARJ-21 is closer to 3 generations behind E195E2 and A220
To be honest, Trump's 2018 sanctions was pure manbaby drama. Iran acted in good faith and had a rock solid agreement with all the major world powers (US, China, EU and Russia all signed the agreement). All the other signatories tried to get Trump to be at least somewhat sane but but torpedoed the entire thing and the agreement collapsed. Everyone lost that day. There were no winners, and it wasn't the Iranians fault (something the EU repeatedly pointed out as they tried to desperately to salvage it). This should have been one of the first things Biden looked at, but he was too busy.... i dunno... doing whatever it is Biden does rather than actually tackle the elephants in the room.
Hopefully one day, the Iranian people will be able to remove their regime, vote in a free and democratic government, have their sanctions lifted and get back into the international community which will benefit ALL Iranian industries, companies and most importantly, the Iranian people. I hope this day comes sooner rather than later.
If sanctions left out, Iran air and other Iranian airlines will solely order more 400 aircraft cause Iran domestic market is huge plus you got international market also which will give aircraft manufacturers a good boost in their order table. Boeing, Airbus, ATR, Embraer and Bombardier along with Russian and Chinese aircraft manufacturers can get a good business out of it. Rather than sanctions come towards peace and boost business. at the end both countries related to business deal will be benefited
Unfortunately Boeing's other major customer, the American military, relies on being able to bomb other nations such as Iran and won't let the company do the profitable and moral thing of selling new planes.
That's bad from US, if you sell something, you don't have the rights to put sanctions, not on Civilian transport, many will contradict me but it's unfair in my point of view
When the ayatollah lives the government of Iran this Country will be free and will grow so fast that they will get every Aircraft they want and everything they want
I love these Iranian aviation videos make more of them, I think that sanction will lift soon with Joe Biden, and I think that Iran Air should order some Boeing aircraft like the 777x or the 787 dream liner.
There seems to be a way for Iranian airlines to operate used aircraft. Many Iranian airlines managed to acquire e.g. A320 family aircraft previously operated by European airlines! Maybe it works for the A380s as well! I’d really love to see them in service again and with Iran’s strong domestic network it could really make sense for them
No matter Airbus or Boeing or either, Iranian Airlines can't buy from both of them due to Sanction. If Boeing planes are Made in USA, while Airbus planes contains US Parts. Their only chance was Russian planes, except Sukhoi Superjet 100.
How sad this is that some higher political members can play with people's life just so they can be on top. And everyone is part of the schemes not only the US which enforces the ban and sanction but all their allies who agrees with them.... I am not here to discuss politics nor do I agree with Iran politics but travelers who flies on Iranian planes are at risks.... And no life is worth being lost to the game.....

Iran Air should buy the A320neo, A321neo, A330neos, A350s, 787s andaybe every 777Xs.
It only happens if the Sanction was lifted. As long as the Sanction still imposed, they can't buy many Western planes either from Airbus or Boeing.
@@WNDWSTIDN I know
Does that mean Iran Air has a lot of money because it hasn't bought much planes?
Not necessarily, I think I read below another video about this topic that they aren’t doing too good financially
@@spongebubatz oh ok
they should order
comac arj 21s and comac 919s
Well at least one set of people benefit from the sanctions, a geeks now flock to Iran to fly and photograph these rare types. I’d certainly want to go if I could, but my family members think I’m mad, especially because I was 15 when I said I wanted to go....
I think Iran should strive to buy the Airbus 320 and 321, wait for the Russian MC -21 and the Chinese aircraft. With that, the problem of aging aircraft, parts, supplies and so on will be solved .
They wouldn’t buy Chinese aircraft because of no support network offered for orders placed. Also they are 1 go 2 generations behind the efficiency of the equivalent Boeing and Airbhs offering and heck even ARJ-21 is closer to 3 generations behind E195E2 and A220
Such a pity that those prosperous airlines are impacted by sanctions imposed due to Iran's government policies
Well hopefully they can get running again sooner than later. Same thing with Yemen
Wasn't there some plane that had an emergency landing in Iran and then couldn't be repaired because of sanctions?
I think it was Norwegian 737 MAX 8. luckily the passengers didn’t have to get a passport stamp
Its barbaric to not let airlines buy new planes its unsafe to operate such old airframes
old airframes are always be safety as long as It's properly maintained, no matter how long the plane operates.
@@WNDWSTIDN metal fatigue
@@LegendsYT2804 with the right maintenance this problem can be solved
@@spongebubatz it will happen eventually though
Hopefully one day, the Iranian people will be able to remove their regime, vote in a free and democratic government, have their sanctions lifted and get back into the international community which will benefit ALL Iranian industries, companies and most importantly, the Iranian people. I hope this day comes sooner rather than later.
I guess if China had built a fully indigenous passenger plane, then Iran would be straight to the order.
can they shoot better?
They would be more interested in c919
Hopefully not any time soon .
Iran: avgeeks paradise lol 😂 they have lots of classic aircraft
shot answer: USA
i live on iran
i mean in iran
Short answer:sanctions
No way will Iran order American aircraft.
Thanks for the feedback! - TB
I think the should order a new boeing 777x
only if the Sanction was lifted
I lovee Iran 🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷
They should be given opportunity to buy used AIRBUS A380 or allowed to buy 100 NEW AIRBUS A380 👍 GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR AIRBUS
There seems to be a way for Iranian airlines to operate used aircraft. Many Iranian airlines managed to acquire e.g. A320 family aircraft previously operated by European airlines! Maybe it works for the A380s as well! I’d really love to see them in service again and with Iran’s strong domestic network it could really make sense for them
Cuz they haven't other.
Idea for an video the fall of fokker
The dutch aircraft buildet

2:28 he said a330
So that means USA is helping Russian and Chinese planes to get customers once they are on the market
Not really because they still use US parts and therefore also get can’t do business with Iranian airlines until the sanctions are over
Just Boeing 777 and 737 Boeing forever
No matter Airbus or Boeing or either, Iranian Airlines can't buy from both of them due to Sanction. If Boeing planes are Made in USA, while Airbus planes contains US Parts. Their only chance was Russian planes, except Sukhoi Superjet 100.
If and when sanctions are lifted, some nice A350"s will be a welcome addition.
Malhama more likely will happen first before any sanctions lifted 🙏
The same is in north korea
North Korea's situation is much worse
I don't hink sanctions will be lifted soon......maybe A350, A320 would be the most appropriated airplanes.....
HMMM I want the Boom
