I just love your home! Its so pretty. I’m the only one in my home now. My husband passed away 6 years ago and my kids are all grown and on their own. But my husband loved cooking. So he cooked most of the time and I did the clean up. We made a good team!
Such a nice cozy, relaxing vibe in this one... love it! ☺️ My husband is disabled so he really doesn’t do chores, but my 2 older kids help me A LOT. I’m a retired teacher. My husband still works so I do most inside work but he has no problem doing it. He does the outside work which I loath. It works great. We also have a cabin where we both do everything. Love the music! Blessings!
Great video, Amy! I usually cook and we all kind of pitch in to get the kitchen clean after dinner. My kids are older, so one puts leftovers away, someone else takes trash out, and my husband usually dries and outs away the items I hand wash. I typically load dishwashers and clean counters. There are other nights I do it all, and some nights the kids do it all. 😉💕
Kudos to you with littles and staying so motivated. My kids are older 21-15 and I’m so much better with cleaning now than I ever was when they were small. I was so warn out all the time. Probably some depression but didn’t realize it. Your house is beautiful thanks for sharing.
I’m redecorating my house after being here for 13 years ( my hubby is a builder so we built our home) I love lotsa color and previously decorated with lotsa color and primitive, which I still love. I’ve now transitioned to a lighter palate and farmhouse so I need the motivation you give me while I do this huge overhaul. I love to decorate and do trash to treasure projects and would love to start a channel I live in the Cincinnati area and just don’t kno where to begin❤️

After 23 years of marriage and four almost grown kids this is what has worked for us. I shouldn't be the only one to clean because we all ate :)

Just found your channel! I do all home keeping chores as well as everything with our kids. I am old school and see it as my job. My husband works all day and then comes home and works outside. It works for us. If he were one that comes home to just sit around I would probably expect a little help with something....maybe lol

I love the music in this video!! My husband and I share the cleaning up after dinner duties... I always cook, and sometimes I clean as I go.... I usually give him the option “clean the kitchen or bath the kids?” 😂 I wouldn’t say it’s cut and dry though... that goes for all duties around our house. We own a business, and I work from home while he is out- so I just can’t get to everything even staying home. I would say I do 80% though! Anyway, love the music choice, so relaxing! Nope, never counted forks vs.spoons. 😍 My dishwasher ritual is that I first place all items back that have a home right by the dishwasher. Then I put all remaining dishes to the counter nearest to me . I close the dishwasher and I finally "walk" to take those dishes, utensils etc. to where they belong. Maybe silly to some, it something I have fun with.
He cooks and I clean up! A lot of the time we do it together. Especially if dishes are overwhelming looking. In that case he rinses the dishes and I organize and put everything in the dishwasher.
I always say when my husband and I got married we became one! Therefore we are do things as a team, I cook he does the dishes, when my back hurts, he vacuums, I do the deep cleaning and decorating, it works out. 👍🏻👍🏻🌹🦋
As always I love your videos. I have one big burning question. How do you get your kids to not bring their toys upstairs. We have a finished basement that is almost entirely for my kids and they still ALWAYS bring their toys upstairs!
We always have toys in our family room too! I keep a big wicker basket in the corner of my family room. At the end of the night, we put whatever toys they bring up into it and take it back downstairs lol. It’s a never ending cycle but it keeps it pretty controlled 😊
I would love to say the home chores are 50/50, but let's get real lol. My husband cooks and I clean up, but everything else that needs done in the house is on my to do list and I work too so I'm out of the house from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. five days a week. We also have 2 dogs and 2 horses, so my days and nights are really full. But we love it!
At our house I do the cooking and dishes. My husband works all day and has a commute over an hour each way, and I’m a stay at home mom. He will help with housework if I get overwhelmed, and ask him to.
