Great video, bought a x3 to get different views when I film my RUclips videos. Only took 2 weeks to crack one lins, so I'm glad that I use sticky lens guard, so I only need to replace sticky lens guard with a new!. X3 is not that durable as GoPro Hero but the views is a great as a complement to my GoPros.
Mine fell off my helmet at 50mph, rolled on the gravel still good 👍
@@OffRoadOutpost great to hear, you were lucky! Have not tested x3 with dirt bike. I have done the same thing as you with snowmobile and with GoPro, when we searched for the GoPro one of us ran over the GoPro, but it was still in perfect shape, I guess the snow help us a lot!

Thanks for sharing this! I'm a total newbie about this and just got my x3. First experience wasn't great mainly due to indoor shooting(noise, colour and sharpness). Will try practicing outdoors during weekend later before going skiing in turkey end of this year. Hopefully can get nice video.

Loved the video!! what’s the Best settings for a skateboarder who’s camera is stationary in Manual Mode? My 360 shots tend to make me the moving person blurry and the shot tends to be noisy almost pixelated, what settings would allow me to have a more clear shot ? Would appreciate it, thank you.
Do you shoot in low light / indoors? Could be the reason for blurry footage - check out my X3 low light tutorial

Very useful. Thanks. You have a knack for picking out what is important. Less about what all the settings are, more about what works well and when.
One thing I find confusing is that all the video advice I have had (since 2004) is to set absolutely everything to manual, so that you are not shooting at a moving target in post production. Hard to colour correct if the exposure and white balance are changing constantly. Yet on this camera, every video I watch recommends at least some auto settings. How do folks cope in post with that?
Hello @ 7:18 you can change the setting from auto to manual on v 1.0.85 does not have the auto vs manual none of them appear and standard does not appear as well for 360 mode only in single lens mode so if you switch to vivid in single lens and back to 360 it goes back to what is default.

I want to use this for the exterior of my car but want to know if an external mic is necessary to eliminate wind noise at higher speeds. Nothing special: 5.7K/30, Color Standard, Sharpness LOW/Medium - But make sure to use an underwater housing - Otherwise the result will not be good.

Hi there, lovely very interesting video. Thank you so much for the contributions and dedication. What mic moto-loggers use with an insta 360x3 that is waterproof and it’s easy to connect once you go back to the motorbike( meaning it will connect via Bluetooth directly without touching anything)?.
Very important is to say bikers use thick gloves and they want to know when they decide to record( as they have the microphone inside the helmet in order to avoid the wind noise as much as possible) a mic that is easy to touch and start recording unless that has voice command( like AirPods-which seems a bit of a issue every single time you go back to the bike and you have to connected to the X3).

I'm on the fence about buying this camera..and wondering why most videos on RUclips taken with the X3 don't look as clear or detailed as they do on instagram?? Is it the way it uploads or how you save the file ??
Well first of all RUclips compression sucks so it destroys image quality especially in certain environments that have “static-y” or changing backgrounds that make it hard for it to look good. Secondly the camera basically records in 1080p so on Instagram that uses 1:1 video looks better than RUclips’s 9:16 aspect ratio. It’s also just editing, some people edit better than others
What I would most say is, if you’re looking for a high resolution camera to up your photos/videos, this isn’t the camera. If you’re looking for a camera that provides the chance to enjoy what you’re doing AND catch it on video, not having to worry about if the camera is recording then this is perfect. Plus the reframing for the apps and high quality stabilization is great

Hi - no you can only zoom in post - there is no pause feature!

Active HDR is terrible for fast moving scenes like on a bike or motorcycle. I am disappointed. The footage is grainy and overexposed.

I recorded couple of my soccer games and when I tried to watch it on my iPhone,iPad, and my laptop the video is blurry. How can I fix that

@@MountMediaChannel lighting was good. I shot the first video at indoor soccer arena where there were lights everywhere and the second video it was outdoor.
