I used this synthetic clay product on a car that has set outside for 7 years. I was amazed at the results when used in tandem with Griot's Ceramic Speed Wash! This gives excellent results on windshield and side glass too!!
Not to kiss any moon bottoms but I really do have fun everytime working with griot's products. Honestly it is therapeutic for me on top of those rewarding cherry results
This stuff is AMAZING! You have to wear gloves to keep from staining your hands. It made the 11 yr old, 15 yr old, and a 22 yr old vehicles in my garage look almost new!
Agreed. Especially on cars that haven't been clayed in years (or their lifetime). I find myself using almost 12 oz of lubricant on a single car with this clay.
How do you know when to throw the clay away? How many times do you use this before throwing away? The dirt it collects from the car will never be able to come out the clay, so how many uses can you get out of this?
On average you can clean up to 7 vehicles with an 8 ounce bar of clay. This will vary depending on the level of contaminants on the paint. As you work with the small patty and knead it in, you'll notice that portion darken with what it's pulling from the paint - you would discard that piece after you judge that it's been used up. Should you drop a piece on the ground, it's best to discard that one right away.
Paint Cleaning Clay is effective at removing light and recent water spots. Spots that may have etched the paint surface can be addressed by polishing with Correcting Cream or Complete Compound.
Yes, it is safe and effective over a clear bra. Note that you'll want to be careful near the edges - it can leave some clay deposits along that ridge that you would need to clean up with soft swab.
I used this the other day on my wife's new car. It marred the paint quite badly however as I was prepping it for cquartz I wasn't concerned because I was about to polish the car. I wasn't expecting so much marring though....
This is one of the few companies that sell the clay BY ITSELF WELL DONE griots

Very good instructional video explaining carefully the claying process. Thanks
This stuff is great but very sticky and will stick to everything so use lots of detailer to keep it lubed up!

Would you still use clay bar over areas that has clear bra?

Ken Lawton were you going in circles on the paint or straight lines? I personally do straight lines but in cross hatch patterns.
