Damn. This is the second stark reminder I have had in the last 2 weeks that everything that I think I am doing right now is just the mind orienting to spirituality. A mental construct/identity that wants to gain something, wants to KNOW something and to control every step of the process. An identity that has been constructed to pursue personal desires under the guise of "spiritual seeking". This endeavor to awaken has felt much "holier" than the previous paths I have taken in this life and the ego has really enjoyed this shiny new identity. The thought of letting go of that brings up a lot of fear. The thoughts are going WILD right now.
It will be ok, just remember the idea you have of spirituality and awakening is just an idea, just a thought. The actual experience will never been what you think and you don't have to know what it is
@@EntangledSingularity Thank you for the encouragement and the reminder that there is no reality to thoughts. I love the pointer to turning attention back to "who" the thoughts are referring to. I will orient to that for a time :)
@TPot1222 yeah, that's exactly what Angelo said to me, soon after things really got going I asked "so what am I supposed to do now?" He said something like, "just try to stay out of the way" 😂❤
I have a favourite teacher (other than you, Angelo) who told his followers over and over that all he wanted was for us to no longer feel the need to watch his videos, and I'm looking forward to the same day with you. it may be closer than I think. but who knows.
"You have to let go of Angelo" that one hit hard. I'm becoming more and more aware of my own projections when it comes to you and I can feel the discomfort but at the same time I know it's part of the path and then so be it.. :)
out of curiosity, have you had an initial shift? I only ask because I haven't, and my mind is flipping its shit right now over letting go of it's idea of awakening. It feels like I have never wanted anything more in my life, and to let that go of that feels devastating. It's all just thoughts, but being mind-identified makes these thoughts feel like reality!
@@TPot1222 I have had various shifts, I am not sure what you mean by initial shift, but I generally follow my direct experience and inner knowledge. I still can't see through walls 😊
Greetings Angelo. In Crow With No Mouth, writings by Zen Master Ikkyu, I quote, "peace isn't luck for six years stand facing a silent wall until the you of your face melts like a candle" 😆
Such a great quote. Reality is staring us in the face at every moment but that tricky mischief-maker of mind wants to persuade us otherwise. After rejecting Christianity in my teens, I felt quite emotional to reconnect with Jesus’s teachings and be drawn back to him. I found my way back to Jesus after finding Bart Marshall’s book ‘The Christ Sutras’. In that book, Jesus’s words seemed so similar to works like the Tao Te Ching, Ashtavakra Gita and the Yoga Sutras. As a young boy, I remember really feeling those words of Jesus, and had a deep connection. I was certain that this man Jesus had realised something that stood him apart - like he was the only adult in a world of children. I can’t help but wonder if Jesus had spent time in the east and learned something of the ancient yogic and Buddhist traditions. 🤔
Most of the problems are word games.People arguing with terms they have different understandings of, without defining them in discussions where they just talk past each other.

Why travel to Nepal and India? You are escaping. You won't find what you are seeking there. What you are seeking is only an insight away. Of course, even if you have an insight, it won't last and will require repeated insights. The idea of permanent enlightenment is hogwash.
Jesus was definitely awakened. I see lots of verses in the Bible that are very much from an awakened being. I've always like this one too: "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known". Corinthians.
This morning as I was listening to a meditation, I was led to think about even the words I was listening to. The filter I have that allows me to hear words spoken in English, but not French or Spanish. The sounds are just sounds, until you organize the sounds using thought. Thought is organizing everything right in front of me all the time, like a wall. I appreciate being reminded of the words of Jesus. When I was young child I thought of him as my savior. Now I see that he has led me to this place of dismantling every notion of himself, religion, spirituality, and even this world.

You realize that nothing constrains reality. This means it is all-powerful, infinitely intelligent, and it can manifest anything it desires immediately. Everything you think is impossible is actually imaginary. You are also imagining the distinction between real and imaginary. How can this be possible? This seems outlandish, magical, and science-fictional. "How?" is something you are imagining. Before imagining "how," there is no "how."
