They gotta bring back cards numbered to /499 or maybe even as far out as /1000 for hobby. Yeah not gonna be worth as much as a /99 or whatever but just seeing the numbered cards on them makes it more exciting and appealing. Plus allows them to stuff hobby packs with a bit more juice.
Im 35 been collecting since i was 8 i moved to a different house a couple months ago to find out someone stole my nba rookie card binder with cards from mid 80s until probably 2016-2017ish when having kids made collecting to expensive my 76ers binder with over 120 different iversons and my auto jersey card binder part of my soul died watching you do these breaks helps a little

Targets website has optic prizm select topps just sitting.. and they dont understand!! We dont need 1/1s every retail box we just want fair value! Thats all … so either drop the price 5-10$ or guarantee a little something better in the retail boxes My 2 nba optic blasters were terrible. My 3 nba prizm blasters were terrible. My 2 prizm nba megas were terrible. Topps series 1 blasters pretty damn terrible although its easier than panini to at least get base rookie cards Meanwhile my 10 bowman blasters produced 5 autos. 3 of which were numbered. An additional 10 numbered cards. 6 of which were bowman chrome 1st color parallels.. So either drop the price or put in 1-2 bigger cards! How hard is it to put a color border on one card per box and stamp it out /250 to make the customer a little happier! I mean gaat damn yo
I just opened up one of these boxes and pulled a Jaden Ivey Rated Rookie Silver Holo, Cade Cunningham Purple Prizm Holo, and a Lebron My House insert. I felt like that was pretty decent
Bowman for baseball. I don’t feel like there’s any good retail with basketball. I’m staying away from panini in general. Some will say optic and prizm in football are ok.
Its a shame basketball retail like optic & prizm totally suck they don't have good inserts or parallels to chase. Panini desperately needs to change that. Nobody wants to really but the retail basketball anymore

Shit a luka bomb squad woukdve been an easy $12.00 now its what $0.80
Did Panini's typography guy take a leave of absence or something? Those inserts look terrible, especially the font and typography they used. Reminds me of inserts from Panini's early days :D
why do they make the basketball version of these product so much worse overall hit wise than the football counterparts? i feel like if they just kept it the same list of each version they would be so much better and sought after. Same price, same hit list
easy pass on Optic retail. $30 is about $15 too much and the rookie class is meh. Save your money and buy singles of established HOF players. the gamble on rookies is gonna be a loss 90% of the time.
All these products are super overpriced. These for example...$30 for what, a couple bucks worth of cards?!?! All value traps. You nailed it with the floor vs ceiling. Card market trajectory is repeating, although in a different way, the late 80's/early 90's. Back then products were way overproduced, cheap, but at least hits were much more possible. Now products are overpriced and hits are non-existent unless you get lucky and the hobby should not be like that.

the copper to 99 and two tone to 15 are nice additions to optic basketball but without a case hit its got nothing on optic football.
