  • Thangka is a Tibetan word which roughly translates as “recorded message”. A thangka is a scroll painting on a religious theme presented on colored satin. In 2006, China listed the thangka as part of the nation’s cultural heritage.

    It's a typical Nepalese school of painting that really doesn't understand Tibetan thangkas, and if you're going to show Nepal, Nepal doesn't call them thangkas, they're called “bhasa”.
