Grabbed a 24 Autobahn a week ago. Very happy, came with cooled seats and heated steering wheel. DCC. I actually love the steering wheel controls. The gas mileage is mind boggling, coming from a naturally aspirated V6 RDX. They also look a lot nicer in person, go check one out.
I had a 2017 GLi I purchased new. Best compact car ever, meaning it was fun to drive with a balance of good fuel mileage and power. The new one did improved on some areas versus the old generation. For example, the new GLi uses a much better braking hardware, which I think it came from the Golf R. Power is more than adequate for the category. The interior, yes, it does have a cheap feeling, but you aren’t buying a Mercedes S-Class. The Mazda 3 and Civic have a superior interior, but those cars are also in a newer generation too. Something I hate Volkswagen did was replacing the old, yet, excellent Fender Sound system for the cheaper Beats Audio.
It does come with ventilated seats how ever with the current chip shortages the have removed it, but with those seats being Compatible you might be Abel to option it in later
Yep - it comes with ventilated seats, as I own one with that feature. I heard some did not have them due to supply chain shortages - and were marked down on the sticker price accordingly.
Not sure now, but I bought a new Jetta in 2019. Before first oil change was due, engine oil had to be added. And same happened the next time. VW dealer tried to tell me that it probably wasn’t topped off (PDI) I didn’t buy that from them. Needless to say I got rid of that car after having it less than one year. Anyone else have this issue or know anything? Someone said it was becuase the engines were re designed or whatever after the diesel left so that they would get higher fuel mileage. I say bring the diesel back. Love those.
Mine consumed oil the first few changes, then stopped. I change at 6k, never wait til 10k. I use mobil1 esp x2 oil. Now 4yrs and 60,000 miles later, no issues
Supposed to have center seats with that package, wonder if this one was a chip shortage victim. The seats are perforated for that feature and you can build these on their site right now and center is standard. I don’t see heated steering wheel offered at all which is very odd despite having heated AND ventilated front seats. Maybe they’ll add that for 2024 and up
I also have a 2020 GLI with ventilated seat lol 2023 doesn’t have lol I didn’t trade it , I’m waiting for 2024 if they will increase the power that 228hp since 2019 and no change is ridiculous do you have any idea or any improvements change on 2024 GLI

Love my 23 pure white with black package it’s not the fastest or the most luxurious but is a great all around fun car to drive for the price it’s not supposed to be a GTI or Audi
So are comfortable luxury cars and that annoys me. Even a Mercedes, Cadillac, Jag sedan or Lexus are marketing their cars to 16 year olds. They have to be stiff and handle really well. Meanwhile, those of us with chronic pain have to deal with children telling us what’s modern and “in.” Well, these kids will figure it out when their back is out of whack and they’re on prescription pain medication.

I absolutely hate the Haptic Touch buttons but I read that they’re switching back to buttons. So much better so I hope it’s true.
I have the manual and it's a pleasure to drive! Nice review THX!
I had a 1992 Jetta 5 speed manual, and it was fun to drive. Now I am waiting for my 2023 GTI to arrive. Looking to putting in miles in my new GTI.

What do you mean why would the chip have anything to do with the ventilation in the seats? Probably just fabric or material ??

I'd have to agree about that steering wheel touch buttons ! Horrible idea, And no rear vents or heated steering wheel sounds like a deal breaker
