(In Buddhism the “spider’s thread” is a reference to how Buddha took the thread of a spider in Heaven and lowered it down to Hell so that a criminal can climb up from Hell to Paradise. Therefore the thread of a spider is a symbol of slight hope aka a silver lining and of fragility. In the story it’s stated that the thread descended through “many layers of sky and clouds.”) - The XG girls look on sadly as many spirits attempt to reach Paradise and fail, exploding into nothingness (Maya looking down from her perch represents this.) - Even though the XG girls are hailed as goddesses by the other spirits (represented by the way the other spirits bow to them) they realize they still can’t reach Paradise alone aka achieve enlightenment. - This changes when the XG girls find each other in death, realizing that their meeting was fate in order for them to reach Paradise together (they are tied together by the “red string of fate” and “hesonoo” is Japanese for umbilical chord.) I posted on the XGALX subreddit about my take, sharing my interpretation here! • Creature that exploded into blue smoke - The ones who dared to stand out and make the leap first before XG but didn't make it. They maybe served as inspiration for others to make the leap and risk too. They didn't make it probably cause they did it alone, or went ahead of themselves. • Creature holding the sphere - The ones who care for, or are protective of XG. Who are careful of them getting hurt from taking the risk. I think it makes sense with the interaction with Juria and Hinata being protective, and with Chisa and Juria as they seem to gesture like asking permission or comforting it. • The background creatures - they are ordinary people or performers of the average type. Not necessarily bad, but they don't stand out and just go with the majority crowd. The visual metaphor is that they are blown away by the explosiveness and talents of XG. And once they witness XG they can't help but be caught in awe and at the end bow down and recognize that they are great and are the ones who can make the leap to the top Overall, they are 3 examples of what XG was able to distinguish themselves from and overcome to reach the top of the other side: they are unique and explosive, they know how to take risks but do it together, they are willing to let go of their comfort zones. You cant support women taking control of their own lives and not conforming to what men/ the industry however u wanna interpret it expect of them? If men are salty about the message of this song they need to put their thinking caps on bc this isn’t an anti men message

As far as I know I may be reading into the lyrics too much and misinterpreting the song. I can see them using this song to show they won’t conform to the industry or men. Me as a man I hate men who want women to conform to them and their lifestyle of living but I do think there should be boundaries to what the woman can and can’t do in that relationship and the industry just isn’t fair to women or men but more so for women! The industry will never be fair! They look out for what they can profit the most off of not what the artist can profit the most off of!🙏🙏
