After dozens of videos, *this* was what I finally needed to hear on the PolyBrute. Something fat, gritty, analog, and wide. These patches are absolutely stunning!
I think it's far from the most exciting and expressive Iit sounds kinder harsh sounding ... Sorry I'm not a fan. And why people always got to program these doll old dated sounds ..😁
Great patches!!! I loved every last one of them… pretty rare that this happens for me with a patch collection. I also appreciate your playing… It’s really refreshing to hear this synthesizer and these patches being played skillfully, as opposed to being only sequenced or arpeggiated. I’ll be getting this collection as soon as it’s available.
That Vox Humana is like... wow, surprisingly similar in character to the OG. Beautiful. You patches on this thing have placed it at the top of my list of poly's I wanna try out right now, hopefully someday I'll afford one =p
The PolyBrute isn‘t one of those synths whose init patches already sound good. It has its own character and is quite a challenge to inexperienced sound designers. But one can and you do make it shine, Jamie.
Hi, yeah, they're not out yet. Will be in a week or so. As I demo every single Patch in my Banks, if I did one big video then nobody would watch/listen to them, so I always break them down over 4 videos. When the 4th Video is up, they will be available for purchase.
If these are traditional patches will you be doing another soundbank showcasing the more experimental morphing side of Polybrute? I think there was FW update with new features to take advantage of also.
I'm working on a new Bank now. I don't really think about Traditional vs Experimental, I just make sounds I want to hear really, but I have to be happy with them before anyone else hears them. That said, some Synths lead you down a certain path, so in a sense it's all experimental.
Great job with the sound design on these patches. There's just something about the overall sound that feels underwhelming to my ears but I've heard the same said about the Rev2 which I keep coming back to. Gonna check and see if you got a video where you give your thoughts.
You indicated in your first video the polybrute had a DCO type sound, not that its a bad thing, after working with it do you feel it is warmer or grown a liking to it? Seems highly expressive
Well, I said it's "More Rev 2 than Prophet 6" so not really a VCO vs DCO thing it's more to do with the diversity of the sound. The Prophet 6 is very difficult to sound bad, where with the REV 2 you have to dig to find the sweet spots a bit more, similar with the PB.
The first 2 chords played in this video reminds me of the beginning of another song i have in my head….I cant for the life of me remember what it is though and it’s driving me nuts!!! Anyone got any ideas?? The patch sounds extremely similar and the chords are the same but in the song I’m thinking of, keeps going up another step, and then maybe into a 7th….. Pretty sure I’ve heard the song used on youtube videos quite a lot as well.
Great patches as always, but the sound of this synth still doesn’t excite me. I don’t know what it is. Maybe for analog synth I expect to have a bit more depth to the sound but then again it’s hard to tell over RUclips.
That was my first opinion to. But I gave it a try and got one. This is a synth you have to do some work to get that sound you are after. The init patch didn't sound good at all and I was disappointed at first until I started to shape the sound. So much possibilities. The low end on this beast is amazing. I made a few bass patches that shakes the room. Never got that on a Rev2. I think it is also a great mono synth. I tend to modulate the Morph knob instead of using the morphee. Like Jamie said, finding that sweet spot i a bit harder. Overall, not disappointed here.
I have to say the old running the finger around the top of the lady garden box looks very sexual but anyway what clearly makes this beautiful synth isn’t the refinement but its ability to deliver raw analog tones. Beautiful. I might have to deal with a semi. If only Arturia had put a Le Clitoris controller top dead centre we would have all bought one.

great job Jamie, i think this is the most exciting and expressive synth available today!
UDO Super6 would like a word
@@79Glitchgreat sounding synth but doesn't come close to the Polybrute for expression

By watching this video I got my Polybrute. Thanks man.

Wonderful play, wonderful patches! I have this one on my wish-list, on top!

Absolutely fxxxin love it Jamie. Love the guitar one especially with the faint pad behind my kind of sound.......

First 🤚🏾🤚🏾🤚🏾🤚🏾 lol 😅😅 felt the need to say this .
Looks like a promising vid. I shall watch with great pleasure.
great sounds - a must have collection
sold!
Does these work with the Polybrute 12? Id imagine they will?
@@seanbeeson Yes, it’s the same synth engine, friend of mine tested it on his 12.
Great! did you touch a better poly? If yes which and where would you rate the Polybrute ? Also, what about of its flexibility? Thanks a lot!
iam buying one soon and coming to get the sound packs

Is 19:48 - 18. Smoky Rhodes GEO from Portishead?
Yes :)
That False Prophet patch is fire!!! Very nice sounds. What do you think of the Polybrute overall?
He's obviously too busy (or "important" and arrogant) to answer... 😅
@@henrikgerlach4765 LOL. It's all good, I got a Polybrute myself so I could form my own opinion :)

Dude. The Smokey Rhodes at 20:10 sounds a bit acoustic. Well done.

Hello, will you consider to try UDO super 6 and make patches? Very curious about super6 as well :)
Jamie brought out a bit of warmer/fatter "Prophet 6" out of it, not just "Rev 2". It doesn't have to sound thin. Lovely patches Jamie.
Jamie can make every synth sound warm/fat, also the Rev 2. ;)
How does this stack up against the competition, OB6, Prophet 6 and Novation Summit?
Great job with the sound design on these patches. There's just something about the overall sound that feels underwhelming to my ears but I've heard the same said about the Rev2 which I keep coming back to. Gonna check and see if you got a video where you give your thoughts.
I feel the same way. The sound of the Polybrute does not excite me

You really have a knack for pads Jamie. I don't own a PolyBrute but, boy the GAS meter is redlining right now . 😉😉
Cheers...Yeah, Pads, Motion Sounds, that's my thing and what I like making...Bass and Lead are just 'Fluff' I'd be happy just making Pads all day :)
@@GEOSynths Haha same Jamie you can't beat em , they are as infinite as your imagination. Great vid .
Hmm … Blade Runner patch tends to confirm my general impression of this synth … 😶
BTW - There’s a 12-voice Polybrute coming out soon, apparently … ?
We really don’t know anything about the new one, it might actually be a Digital Synth
Great patches as always, but the sound of this synth still doesn’t excite me. I don’t know what it is. Maybe for analog synth I expect to have a bit more depth to the sound but then again it’s hard to tell over RUclips.
Maybe it's just not for you, we all have different tastes and preferences. Try and have a go on one though, it is a cool Synth to programme.
That was my first opinion to. But I gave it a try and got one. This is a synth you have to do some work to get that sound you are after. Why cant I get mine to sound like that
No idea, it's just plugged directly into a Presonus Quantum and recorded at 24bit 48khz. I add a bit of limiting, but that's it.
If it wasn't for the X,i would take the poly.
So beautiful Jamie.... 🙏😚

A Clitoris Controller? Nah, I wouldn't be able to find that :)
Such a pitty I can't really stomach it's design. The sound of it is lightyears better than on the Prologue (for example). Great patches!
Hey, my first Synth was a DX7 mk2...I'll take a Polybrute any day over that :)
Who gives a shit about the design when it sounds just awesome? 🙄
Put it next to a Roland System 8 and it will look ace.
