I'm usually pretty strict when it comes to microtrasactions and don't ever really spend real money on digital goods, BUT I've been playing TSTO semi-casually for about eight or nine years now and when they started offering premium currency generating items several years ago I figured, "Why not? I've clearly enjoyed it enough to keep it in my device rotation, and eventually the buildings will have payed themselves off in donuts AND they'll help me acquire even more items that are hard to come by.", so for the last three years, I've dropped $50 (just enough to get the donut generating items along with clearing out a lot of the golden mystery box), just the one time purchase every year (which kept me ahead of the content curve until they started locking items and characters behind ACTUAL MONEY PAY WALLS, which was obnoxious af), but it wasn't until THIS year that I felt that it was kinda lame, and that I kinda got taken (not that it's THAT big of a deal because I'm max level and have over 20,000 donuts from Rat Trap Truck farming, but the "sUpEr PrEmIuM" item doesn't add as much value as I think it should've this year, and I guess it's more of a principal thing because of how indicative it is of the neglected "quality of life" state of the game). It was still kinda okay I guess because I got to clear out all of the boxes (all of them, except the golden mystery box, had like one or two items), however there are STILL a bunch of things that I don't have that SHOULD be in the mystery boxes, but it seems like you can only get some things with those stupid random "shattered dream tokens", which is goofy af. Anyway, "sUpEr PrEmIuM" character FAIL -ONE TASK that generates donuts and it takes TWENTY FOUR HOURS for THREE MEASLY donuts ffs; HALF of what the prior donut generating items generate, and you don't even have to set them on a task, because of course they're just buildings, which is way simpler and much more practical, than a character that Generates LESS in the same amount of time, IF set on the task. If they cared, which they clearly don't, then all the mech's tasks would've generated donuts on a fair slider -not to mention the fact that most of the Black Friday prizes were lame af, as you found out in the video. I can't say that I'm surprised tbh -my expectations for this "game" are pretty low atm... (smh)
I think the game should normally give out some items that naturally generate donuts! I don't know, I think this is a game that requires a lot of farming and it would be nice to have a simpler way of doing things
hey man, I stopped playing for a good month but am back now. the game is letting me get the last halloween prize that I was in progress of. will I get this black friday update after I finish that?
I don't know if my game is glitches or what, but I'll buy donuts with my bank card, then 4 days later it will cancel itself and refund my money...but let's me keep all the donuts lol
@@ElloArfur yessir. More than once. Bought 900 donuts on Tuesday, and it's already been refunded back into my account. I dont know whats going on, for i have the money, it just for some reason automatically cancels the purchase a few days later. But i mean, im not complaining. Donut mech produces 3 donuts every 24 hours, aswell.
Hey :) To unlock the update you just need to complete the two 6s tasks to activate the update. These will only appear if you’re the required level to play the update. I hope you can access it 🤞
Spent a pretty good amount of money but never got Costmo or the giant donut factory unfortunately. But I did get the Donut Mech. This game can be disappointing at times 😂😂😞

Yep the Mech was a real let down considering it is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Tapped Out too… I mean why couldn’t they get it to generate 10 donuts every 24hrs at least?! It’s so stupid… Hopefully you got decent prizes from the box 🤞
