Since I've turned to Christ, and begun learning about Catholicism, I have moved from mindlessly cursing and using God's name in vain to being mindful of it at least. I still slip up, but now immediately pray for forgiveness and beat myself up over it. Eventually I know I will stop, but it begins by being conscious.

    • @FaithinCatholic
      @FaithinCatholic 20 дней назад +18

Do the sign of the cross in your forehead, lips and heart after each time you've said such things or everytime you are conscious that you're likely going to curse. Also, a practice of invoking the name of Jesus anytime of the day will give you marvellous results for yourself.

@@tonybalongna Truly, there is nothing wrong with the Rosary because it is about the Holy Trinity, the Church and mother Mary as well as focusing to the life of Jesus but sadly protestants don't realized it nor even try to bother themselves to see what's inside the Rosary. Just because they hear the Rosary and Mary, they can easily conclude that it is idolatry and worshipping Mary as replacement of Jesus and GOD. They're the perfect representation of "JUDGING A BOOK BY ITS COVER".

Part of the reason I am converting is because of the scandals and evils in the church. Satan attacks the good viciously. So, to me, that meant the Catholic Church had truth. Look at how hard the demons are working in the church, must be a reason they fear the church so much… 🤷‍♀️ just my perspective.

My thoughts exactly, well said. Something would be wrong if evil wasn’t trying to infiltrate and subvert the Church. We should see it for what it is and only draw closer to our Church while dealing with the attacks from inside. It’s exactly what the fallen ones want, for us to turn against Her and leave the Church. It’s like the old saying, ya know you’re over the target when you’re getting the most flak.

Keep praying every day, do not waiver. Even if you don't feel up to it or are too busy. I myself have a chronic pain disease through my whole body and when I am too sick to do my rosary or regular prayers I use a simple verse and repeat it over and over again: "My God, my Love, My All" say it until you fall asleep or whenever. God sees you and knows your struggles. NEVER STOP PRAYING AND LOVING GOD. You might want to consider Consecrating yourself to Dearest Mother Mary - she will care for you and hear you. Make sure you attend church as often as possible and use ALL of the Sacrements. God Bless you and yours!!!

Though I do not curse but with some other things like thinking negative thoughts, worries and etc, my own way is to do a sign of the cross in my forehead so it will help me release from obsession, do a sign of the cross in my lips so if ever I met people or within my family during that time, I will not speak evil or bad things to them due to negative thoughts. Do the sign in my heart so my emotions will be clean and will not cause me anger and hatred due to negative thoughts. I do this as much as 3 times or more if thoughts are still fresh. Also, calling Mary's name is helpful and of course invoking the name of Jesus.

I also wish to clarify that contrary to the assumption that Fr Vince made that Fr Carlos asserted that unbaptized babies are damned, it is actually not true that Fr Carlos believes that. From the previous videos you showed, Fr Carlos explained that unbaptized babies are likely to be in a kind state of contentment (I am paraphrasing here) till our Lord collects them on His second coming for their final destination in heaven.

Fr. Carlos is correct, we should share the Gospel and encourage baptism. The Church must still hold to the eternal dogma that outside the Church there is no salvation. We also must believe Trent that baptism is the way to gain membership in the Church. It may be possible for God to work outside of the sacraments for salvation, but Jesus said not to put the Lord your God to the test.

I can't speak for others, so I'll just tell about my own story:
After I came back to the faith in 2021, I tried to find out what God wants from me. He did not give answer immediatly, and in that time, I just tried to be content with being a wife and mother, and do some much needed healing.
Then, on the tail end of 2023, suddenly i got asked if I would like to become a catechist, and do family ministry.
I was unsure if that was what God wanted me to do. I was not immediatly sure that this was the way for me, on the contrary, I thought this way way too much responsibility for the really broken human that I am.
So I prayed over this, and suddenly I had these really overwhelming words in my mind: 'BRING THE CHILDREN TO ME!'
if the Lord asks, what can I do instead of saying yes? So I said 'yes Lord, I trust you!'
Now I am in this ministry and education process, and it is quite the ride. Things seem lost so many times, then suddenly turn around!
So, how do you know if you are called to a ministry? You ask, and wait, and trust. And in time, He will show you the way.

    Ave Maria
Ok the Blessed Virgin Mary is not worship, but her purity, her example, her perfection among all creatures are unmatched and deserve and must be remembered, in order to inspire us in the prayer most recited by Catholics. Is it more accurate, fairer said this way?
And for the Eucharist, the ostia which becomes the body and blood of Christ, I have difficulty understanding this. Eating the flesh and blood of Jesus at each communion... Perhaps one day God will give me the sufficient Grace to understand what it really is.

St Thomas has the answer to the baptism question. We need to look no further than the Summa Theology (STh Supp q. 69, aa. 1-7).
He gives us the parts of Hell. Besides Purgatory, there is “Limbo of the Fathers (or Bosom of Abraham now empty)” and the “Limbo of the Children” where the unbaptized children not yet reached the age of reason (around 7 years old) go. There is no physical suffering in Limbo only the missing of God for these children have no personal sin.
But Since scripture is clear that Baptism is required for salvation (To See the face of God, eternal bliss) this is where they go. Blessed Catherine Emmerich (among other saints) also was shown these places in a vision and she asked the question as to what happens to those children at the end of the world and God said that it is none of your business. In other words, God had a plan.
She asked because one day when she was present at a birth of a baby who was in danger of dying she quickly baptized the child, soon after the baby died. Later the baby appeared to Blessed Catherine and thanked her saying that if it wasn’t for her quickly baptizing her, her faith would have been the same as the pagan children. If anyone questions this he/she must ask your self. In the light of Adam’s sin, is it not true that Heaven was closed for all man kind? So salvation is now restored but with conditions. And that is Baptism and for those that reached the age of reason, also Faith. (Mark 16: 16:16)

If Fr Martin says unbaptized children or people belong to the devil, he is correct and in line with Catholic theology.
If not why does the church baptize children or people. The Catholic Church teaches that at baptism we become sons and daughters of God in the Son (Jesus Christ). If we become such at baptism, then what are we before baptism.
In fact this is just one of those hard truths of the Catholic faith that, if you don’t teach well, if you self you don’t digest well before teaching, you can cause great confusion among Christians.

The official position of the Holy Roman Catholic Church concerning dead unbaptized babies and aborted fetuses is that it is not known. The Church believes God will in His way extend mercy and compassion.

I always wondered why the Church encourages us to have children if there is a chance of a miscarriage or stillbirth. It’s better not to take that chance if the baby might go to Hell. Why don’t we baptize them right after delivery then? Most babies are baptized one or two months after birth. Parents have to take classes! If unborn babies belong to the devil then why is abortion wrong/evil? My two children survived and were baptized, but if I would have thought deeper about this I wouldn’t take a chance.

I do not accept the Lutheran doctrine and think they are in very grave error, but I did read that their liturgy is very similar to pre Trent Catholic liturgy, which would make historical sense.

They taught you as well as they could. Outside the Church there is no salvation . This dogma is taught from Paul on (1 Cor 10:17, Act 27:31). The only way to be in the Church is to be baptized this is taught by Jesus in Jn 3:5.
The nuns weren't wrong to tell you this. They were doing their best to instill a preper fear of God in you.
Maybe God will provide for some other way to salvation, but there were only eight who were saved through water on the Ark. We never heard of any others who survived via a different plan for salvation.
We can not tempt God by not preaching baptism and getting our own families baptized, even if He miraculously works outside of the normal means of the sacraments.

As much as we would like it to be otherwise, they are created in the image of Adam, and due to the fall are no longer in the image of God. As St. Paul noted, Death (eternal) reigns over us from Adam until Christ. We put on Christ and the Image of God in Baptism. I don't know the mysteries of God, but the salvation of these otherwise innocent babies would be outside of the ordinary means of baptism. We can only trust them to the mercy of God and hope that He might save them outside of the sacraments.

Many early church fathers were African including St Augustine & there are African martyrs including St Felicity and Perpetua. June 3 is Martyrs day in Uganda and is massive - this year we had 3.5 pilgrims, many from Uganda and neighboring countries walk hundreds of miles to the site in Namugongo in Uganda where 22 martyrs were killed in 1884. Pilgrims come annually from Africa and beyond, 3 Pope's have attended it Paul IV, JP and Francis, and scores of bishops and clergy. See RUclips videos on Namugongo Marty's day 2024 to see the scale. At the moment of conception we belong to the devil says father Martins. Father Lampert says we belong to God. In philosophy the disagreement can be explained in terms of being and becoming. Gods being is complete as is Christs victory over sin and death. But I would have to agree with Father Martins the Church Militant is not complete . We have to repent and work out our salvation in fear and trembling. The issue of salvation is broken down into 3 possibilities. There is no salvation says communism and others. There is no soul or after life. Secondly, modernists say that if there is a heaven then everyone gets in . ( Indifferentism) The third option states that there is heaven, hell personal judgement and purgatory and that is the only possibility that is continuous with the tradition of the church and holy scripture. If there is no heaven then anything is possible and chaos reigns. If dr makes it. Christ died for nothing. Christ raised from the dead and glorified as Lord of all means nothing. Our future is diminished and our present moral responsibilities are weakened.

We have the favor to be nurtured by a very loving and supportive mother, who is at the same time the mother of Jesus. They're like bullies in school who sadly don't have an attentive and loving mother that loves her children so much with great affection and attention. I was once Catholic and learned good things from my time with them. I don't hate them. They have some good doctrines that helped put me on the foundation I have today. That being said.,,, although i known some people can be spiteful and mean about the "Mary" thing, please understand that it looks to them that u are worshipping her. It doesn't matter if u say you are not; it LOOKS and SOUNDS like u are.It to them is idolatry as Protestants believe only the Trinity is worthy of that kind of adoration.Let me explain what some of us think. Mary was a virtuous,, girl living in ancient Israel whom God chose to be The Sons mother,.She came from the right bloodline... and had the character to be trusted with God's son.She with courage accepted the task and went through trials and tribulations on acord.Mary had to hide from Jesus' executors, and it is possible that Mary would have been killed with him if they had discovered him,Mary had to hide out in Egypt for a few years, and coming back, I think, off and on was whispered about,, the victim of possible slander, gossip, and accusation. She prob lived with a veil of this over her all her life. Then, she had to witness the brutal execution of her firstborn son. Mary suffered a lot, and she deserves respect.. The pendulum swings too far from one side to the other regarding the Mary question between Catholics and Protestantism. That being said, I think we can agree that Mary is in Heaven now, and we will all get to meet and thank her for her service to mankind. But I don't see anything in the bible that promotes or encourages any practice that we should that pray to Mary... look to Mary for help and guidance or give her a promotion way beyond any human being other than Jesu Christ has a right to; The Holy Spirit is our comforter,, and teacher. Jesus is our savior and King;...Father God is the Creator.. Mary is our fellow human being who did her part in God's plan to redeem mankind. Certainly, this needs to be honored. But when people go way beyond that, it's started to prickle....... Try to see why there is such a split between Catholics and Protestants through new eyes and lenses should not be a 'us against them" philosophy.. Blessings and peace.

Its not just aborted babies who are unbaptised. Miscarried babies are also unbaptised. And babies who are scheduled for baptism according to the parish priest's busy calendar? That they all belong to the devil is hard to accept.

I have a question for your Priest who has agreed to answer 5 questions per week.
I have been told that aborted babies go to heaven.
I have had 5 miscarriages. I wanted all of these babies. If they were born, I would have baptised them. Now these 5 dead babies of mine, where are their souls? I have been told their souls are in limbo according to Catholic teaching, and that in limbo your soul is separated from God.
Why? If this is so, these 5 babies would have fared better had I killed them through abortion.
If God is merciful, why would aborted babies with Original Sin be admitted to heaven, yet miscarried babies with Original Sin be kept away from heaven?
I dearly hope you select my question. This is a source of deep sorrow which still affects me today. I had no bodies to bury, as my miscarriages were all within the first 6 weeks of life.

Pray for your babies, because without baptism they are outside of the normal means of salvation. Don't lose hope, all things are possible for God.

I have a question! Are there demons that no priest can get out? Like Jesus allows them to be there.

There are cases where exorcisms have failed, Anneliese Michel was an example.

Read the church councils starting with the oldest. Things get very "ecumenical" to say the least at Vatican II. You should quickly find that the Church has always taught that outside the Church there is no salvation. The ordinary and only means known to the Church of gaining membership in the Church is through water baptism. Everything else is post Vatican II hopes and fairytales.

I have been told to only watch documentaries on nature, Bible, Catholicism, history, sciences, etc.. and movies from Angel Studios, etc.. All the blasphemies against God and Jesus's names and general swearing spoils it anyways....

All babies belong to God. How can any Christian teach anything else?

the Sin of Adam was cover the the death and rise of Jesus who came to brake the veal of the Church and made every Man who confess and accept Christ as lord and savior a Priest. and Baptism in babies don`t count babies don`t Sin because they don`t know right from wrong.12 commandments the first 2. 1- thou shall not have others god in front of Me 2- You shall make no Idols Jesus separated himself from Mary in the cross when he said woman there is you Son referring to his brother John son of Joseph and Mary. if you read Matthew you will see. people that worships saints are putting gods in front of Abba Father and Jesus which are the same. we Must Repent of our wicked ways and turn from them. Jesus said hate evil and Love good.

Speaking of child sexual abuse, I'll come back to the old saying that one spoiled apple spoils the bunch. Quick follow up, I grew up around a LOT of child sexual abuse in my town and school. Most of the apples doing the abusing weren't Catholics, but who said apples can't be hypocrites? Powers and Principalities my friends.

I don't pity demons because I've had experience with them because I'm just a human vessel and the spirit is typing it for me.
