My late uncle was a priest and missionary in Ecuador. He was holy, a great priest. He used to come back to visit us in Indiana and Ohio once a year. He would celebrate Mass and preach to raise money for his extremely poor families. He was always happy and had a big beautiful laugh. He had to retire due to dementia in 2011, but he still had his beautiful smile and laugh. Occasionally, he recognized us. Once my parents came from out of town to visit him in the nursing home, and completely out of the blue, Fr. Paul called my dad by name! It made us all so happy. I miss them both so much.

Wow, that's cool! I'm pretty sure our uncles were friends at the nursing home for priests in Ohio. Fr. John was a missionary in Chile who retired around the same time, for the same reason, and made friends with another Spanish speaking priest who had been a missionary somewhere in South America which I had remembered as being either Colombia or Ecuador.

@@RaphaelOliphantThis really is a thought provoking comment to me. I have a hard time feeling pity for Judas and I wonder about it. Jesus Himself would have forgiven Judas immediately, had he but asked him even as the guards seizing Jesus, if Judas had wailed or whispered his repentance at the foot of the Cross, or from some distance with any pang of conscience, but Judas either believed his sin was too great to forgive, or he was torn by devils inside his mind... so I don't know if what you say is right or not, I honestly don't and it continues to bother me. I remember one of these exorcists said God would even forgive the devils, if they only repented to let God's grace work in them, but they don't feel any remorse, ever. It seems to me a deeper mystery than I've ever heard discussed on any other channel before. I love this channel for all that it brings up, and for all the beautiful, amazing priest exorcists they invite, and for the other people who comment stuff like you did.

Judas worst sin was believing that Jesus wouldn’t forgive his sin and committed suicide. Jesus called him friend, unironically, when He was betrayed.

When I was in high school, I chose to do my final paper on Catholic clergy who were falsely accused, I couldn't believe the amount of stories I found of priests going through hell because of false accusations. We should pray for those who were sexually abused and we should also pray for the innocent who were falsely accused. My great-uncle was the Catholic priest and he was accused of it when he was a hockey coach in a Catholic School. No proof was found and most players on his team defended him . There are true victims of sexual abuse by Catholic clergy but I also believe some people took advantage just to try to get money from the church. Thank you for another video!❤️🕊🙏

Thankyou so much for being a Priest. I'm old enough to remember when so many good Priests were literally scared to appear in public as they might be accosted for the sins of the few.
I think this ugliness had to come out, and in many ways I'm not surprised that the Catholic Church was the first & the one that was sacrificed first for an evil that was allowed to take hold.
I used to see nuns on the streets in my hometown, Ireland, as a kid. I don't anymore.....I personally knew many who nobody will ever write about that where walking Saints.
Anyway, all this to say, thankyou, and I do hope the world appreciates your vocation, because as a believer in the Holy Eucharist, I think you have the most important job wherever you are called, and I just would like to say, there are so very many who know how difficult it must have been to minister to us and be the hands of Jesus for us when we're low or indeed starting out ❤

It’s just sad that people who do unspeakable things ruin the vocation for those who want to actually do the work of God. When I was young I discerned a religious vocation as a nun. My parents were angry and I was told “You don’t want to be a nun they’re the ones that get abused by the priests!” -_- marriage was ultimately my vocation but I think of the people who have a calling who are dissuaded from their vocation because of what people say

Yes I feel sorry for those abused by clergy. But its not that Priests are Paedophiles, its more a case of Paedophiles choosing jobs where they have access to Kids like nursing, working in Orphanages, Children's homes, teaching etc. In Ireland the Diocese used to give Farmers money like to but crops equipment etc in return for one of their sons becoming a Priest. So many young men were forced into the Priesthood when they didn't have vocations, also some people forced girls to be nuns.

Because you are judging everybody for something some did. There are good priest, but they shouldn't carry the burden for others who may be even fake priest, we know some of the priest belong to the enemy who infiltrate the church to do evil. And what they did was not only evil but I consider it demonic. To hurt a child in that way is unforgivable.

Being a priest today I understand to a certain extent that it must be a heavy burden to bear. For example sometimes in my entourage we talk about priests, bishops and always, inevitably the subject of pedophilia surfaces. It saddens me what they can say. So I learned something, I don't know if I heard it on Armor of God, or the other associated channels...
So The other day, there was a guy who had started (to talk about pedophilia within the clergy) and he was very negative. So I told him: I read in the newspaper the other day that 20,000 priests had not committed anything at all. He looks at me with a half-smile and says: "Ouais, there must be some good people in there". His answer pleasantly surprised me.
I have recently tried to defend Christian values, I do not go down the street with a microphone like a preacher, nothing so flamboyant. But I strive to do more and do better.
God bless all priests and bishops and the nuns too !

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;“ (Ephesiens 6:10-18)

For what it's worth, statistics show (I used to work in law enforcement and criminal justice) there's vastly more public school teachers that are convicted pedifiles but, there's also psychologists, physicians, and civil servants that fit the category than priests. In dealing with thousands of such people, I have never once had a former priest. So, the dioceses have cleaned up but, the American press can still make money by perpetuating the story. So totally off topic. 1000 Apologies. I have a rosary question. The 4th joyful mystery is prophecy of Simeon. But Mary's 1st sword of sorrow is also the prophecy of Simeon. What am I not getting? Thank you for your time!

My Grandmothers family had 4 girls and 2 boys... Both of my great uncles became Priests. One a Parish Priest and One was a Missionary in Bangladesh!
And I know that one Aunt was discerning when she met her amazingly pious and good (and funny!) husband. That whole family was brimming with Catholic Faith to the core...
What is more... my Grandfathers family was too... His older sister was going to be a Nun, but their father died when my Grandfather was 14.... His sister was just going into her studies, and their mother got very sick. She went back and took care of her mother, but I tell you.. her prayer life and giving nature was that of a Holy Sister.
We are SO Thankful for this family.. How did we get so lucky.. I am not sure.. but Thank you God!

In the neighbourhood of Mother Teresa, there was one shop keeper who hated
Mother Teresa. Mother went to him and said “Please, give something to eat.”
The person looked at Mother Teresa with anger and spit saliva on Mother
Teresa's hand. Mother gently wiped the saliva to her sari and said, “Thank
you for what you have given for me. Will you give something for my
    children?”
The shop keeper was shocked at the humility of Mother Teresa asked pardon
from Mother Teresa. Then on he began to help regularly to the orphan
    children!
    Peace begins with a smile

1:06’ Father, you look young. Perhaps you didn’t experience the twentieth century. Two thirds and four years into that century, I came around. Jokes about priests being pedophiles, were common tired and old fare. Every body knew them. I myself never had any problems. My Father met Father Geoghan. He said he was astonished the man ever had been accepted as a priest. He should have never made it past the screening process.
I love the Catholic Church ( tho one would never know it by my attendance.) and immediately she is forgiven, because we know the chastised listen, and the scoundrels are removed. Imagine a church where for an entire generation four deep, every single ordained priest is a living saint. DOABLE. Shalom, I like him

It wasn't the fact of paedophiles in the Church which really got people mad. It was the systematic cover up and the vicious attacking and silencing of the victims and their families.

People in the seminaries and monasteries laugh at Pope Pius X but he was correct. The church has been destroyed by the modernist heresy. The only thing left today is Greek Orthodoxy if someone wants to explore a vocation to the monastic life. Or even Zen Buddhism really. At least Zen Buddhists aren’t a bunch of psuedo-intellectual twits.

Honestly we cant judge all priests for these things. Its unfair priests and monks are not all the same so we cant ban Christianity. God bless you.

It seems that Jesus is using His Church to teach not only how to be a good priest but why to be a good priest. Sin does not prevail. He promised us that. Be in the win. And use what He taught us, “Get thee behind me, Satan”, this life is not lead by Satan. Jesus leads this life!

Good priests who possess the powers and gifts of God by his grace are worth more than treasures, st faustina was told by an Angel that not even the most powerful angelic princes or seraphims in Heaven who has the power to level and destroy entire galaxies are given the authority to hear confessions and give absolution of sins in the name of Christ, wheras a humble priest can, thats just mindblowing.

I was just watching a clip on fr. John Farao. He stated that Sex is a drug, just like drugs it is used to forget and set aside problems and problem solving. Sex is used for the purpose of control and dominance. Example, wanting to be a priest but not getting the results and the compliments. a mortal man would turn to sex to get the results and feelings. I'm a female, i get this behavior from men all the time. Females on the other hand uses sex if she fails in her academics and work ethics. It is a last resort for survival.👍
