- It is often said that modern players are bigger, stronger, and faster now than they have ever been, but I disagree. I have yet to see another player with Jonathan Ogden's combination of size, strength, and quickness in the modern era, or any other. Standing at 6'9'' and weighing nearly 350 pounds, Ogden was the stalwart of the Baltimore Ravens offense for more than a decade, domineering opponents while also maintaining composure no matter the circumstance. He accrued 4 First-Team All-Pro selections over his career, during an era rife with Hall of Fame talent at the Tackle position, and blocked for Jamal Lewis in his record-breaking 2000-yard season.

I met him on an elevator in Baltimore years ago and he was so polite I thought he was a big rookie. Also he didn’t seem overweight at all like I would imagine a lineman to be. He looked like a basketball player in person. It’s great to know that despite the success he was a truly humble and kind person to me. God bless you Jonathan Ogden sir!
Imagine if he actually had a QB to protect...
Trent dilfer
lol
Steve McNair
And he still got a ring
Starting Left Tackle in the all-time 100 year team of the NFL...Jon Ogden...no debate needed..the best that’s ever been
Anthony Munoz would like a word sir
@@jacobdavison93 he’s great but, nobody’s a jon Ogden...nobody’s ever been a jon Ogden...he kicked everybody’s ass and they had to like it,because wasn’t a damn thing nobody could do about it...every game every play....go read a book or take a class...
@@lancehurley9743 bruh just making a counter point for a friendly debate, no need to take offense like that, I would agree Ogden is the GOAT but Munoz was an absolute legend for Cinci…and what kind of f’ing class would I take, History of NFL Left Tackles 201? 😂
@@jacobdavison93 munoz was exceptional no question...but nobody has been Ogden...he was a freak of nature...
@@lancehurley9743 I agree Ogden size, speed, durability and strength will most likely never be replicated. Ogden 1, Munoz 2!
This is dominance. Jonathan was tossing players around the field like nothing.
GREAT JONATHAN OGDEN ULTIMATE NFL CAREER HIGHLIGHTS !!!
He's gotta be in the conversation for greatest LT of all time. Him, Munoz, Joe Thomas are probably my top 3.
Never really saw Munoz play but as good as joe Thomas was Ogden was better imo. Greatest O lineman I've ever seen and to me it's not even close.
@@Rams8148 Munoz was significantly more athletic than Thomas or Ogden but he wasnt as powerful. All three guys had awesome technique, Ogden was obviously crazy powerful and could still move well for a guy his size, Thomas was kind of the middle ground between Ogden and Munoz in terms of size/strength/athleticism.
@@BigSam63 dude joe Thomas ran a 4.9 40 at 312 lbs and 6’6 also had a 33 inch vert
How you gonna forget Orlando Pace brother?
Pace was a freak of nature. Pretty sure he ran like a 4.8 supposedly.
He was dominated as a tall, giant, agile, and most skilled offensive tackle who blocked for running backs and pushed aside defenders
Absolute UNIT
He’s up there with John Hannah and Bruce Matthews among greatest offensive lineman
Big fella was an absolute machine
Do edwan multalio if I spelled that right his teammate
Who ever did this film thank you
I really enjoyed your intro highlights w/music so very much that my heart will go on w/Triganametry!
J.Oooooooooooooo
2:32 by God that man had a family
