I appreciate your situation but feel it's important for those in your company to be aware and self sufficient in their own protection as you may not be immediately available to save them. Also, it's far more difficult to move a group that is unaware and panicking. 🙏
As a young first time father to be this topic has been on my mind since i first heard the news , great video! forsure looking forward to more family oriented content.
I park where there are no other vehicles around. If you park surrounded by other vehicles it gives the opportunity for someone to pull behind you and block you in. It also gives you more time, it’s more obvious if someone is following you to the back of the parking lot where there are no other vehicles. This had bought me time before against beggars and homeless.
Me and my wife both prefer to park away from other vehicles for not only our safety as you explained, but also to protect the vehicle better from being hit and/or getting door dings.
Prepping for some vague end of the world situation in a way that revolves around buying gear and firearms training is something I dont particularly like about about the "tactical prepper community." I dont take an isssue with either of those things and honestly those things are fun and cool. But stuff like this is such valuable info to share. It helps build a more holistic knowledge base. And hey, a lot of this is stuff I was already practicing either subconciously or actively (got the opportunity to do some driving in Afghanistan). That being said, you can always learn something new and this video is jam packed with good info. Honestly, this channel has been crushing it. Massive thank you for bringing us such a wide variety of useful grade A content for free. PS: This may or not be a "good" piece of advice. When you park your car try to make it next to some sort of land mark (light poles work well). Even in the best of times finding your car in a massive parking lot can be a little hit and miss sometimes. Wandering around and making your car go "beep" so you can find it is just a bad look.
If you're out with the wife say out loud "we're parked in row 7. Lucky number 7" Or "row 4, like playing golf, four!" Making a joke or comment about the number makes it more likely to stick in your mind.
Thays funny . But in all seriousness . In prison you dint stand with hands in pockets or arms crossed . Just in case something pops off it takes time to react
The saying I use with my family is "Prepared not Paranoid" like carrying or wearing a seatbelt, I'd rather have it and never need it than need it and not have it lol.
Exactly. My parents tell me the same with self defense: it's better to know/have it and end up not needing it over not knowing/having it and needing it.
Another very important thing to consider is how to teach others in your company, especially your children, without creating unnecessary fear. Starting simple like having them aware of the bathroom, exits, kitchen... then talking about earthquake, fire, fights. And slowly increasing their ability to observe their surroundings as they become comfortable all without filling their brain with dread. Thanks for the video. By watching this I realized that I have slowly been getting lax in my own awareness over the years. Bad time in the world to get lazy.

Great video coming from you guys! As a young man (23) starting out in the world with the mindset of protecting his future family, this knowledge is critical! Would love to see securing your home on the next one!
Me and my wife have a high awareness of our surroundings and we both carry, but this has given thought to a lot of other points we needed and have not thought of before. Great video with lots of great info.
This is such an informative video. I'm definitely going to take advantage of alot of the tips given, especially since I'm a new Dad. My family's safety and well-being is everything. Thank you for this.
I thoroughly enjoyed this, and hope to see more like this from you guys in the future. This is a great way to show civilians like us what they can practically do on a regular basis to protect our families.
*EXCELLENT ADVICE!!! In addition to the great points shared, the following suggestions come from my 30 years of experience living in high-risk areas and sadly, a few criminal interactions.* 15:53 *How does this guy Not know that feature can be turned off in all modern vehicles. NEVER allow all your doors to unlock when the vehicle is placed in Park.* *Additionally, I have taken YEARS to train my wife to look outside and around the vehicle before exiting, and to automatically lock the doors when everyone is in or immediately after someone exits the vehicle. It's a habit for us now.* 16:48 *NEVER go to the back of your car during your fill-up. True, no matter where you stand your line of sight for any approaching threats may be limited. But it is optimum to stand between the hose, your vehicle, the pumps and your driver's door (true, some cars suck by having the gasoline tank on the opposite side of the driver's door, get rid of that car, or train a passenger to deal with it properly) because this position provides you with the most obstacles between you and any would-be attacker and allows you the best opportunity to escape into your vehicle. Standing at the back off your car can get you cut off from re-entry to your vehicle, if your passengers are untrained then they may feel compelled to exit the safety of the vehicle to help you and inadvertently expose everyone else inside to threat.* 20:00 *EXCELLENT ADVICE! Here's how you can leave the perfect amount of space every time while simultaneously discouraging other cars cutting in front of you. As long as when you're sitting back with your head against your headrest you can see the bottom of the back tires of the vehicle in front of you touching the ground, then you're good. This distance will vary depending on the size of vehicle in front of you and the size of your vehicle, but as you practice this you'll notice the distance always works out.* 31:07 *Head on a swivel, eyes bounce back and forth from on the horizon to potential blind spots as you move. After everyone in the vehicle looks around outside, I keep all the other doors locked and I get out of the driver's door, re-lock everyone inside and then come around the back of my vehicle toward the passenger side which gives me an opportunity to get a better look of everything in the area. ONLY THEN do all my passengers to get out ONLY on that side. And yes, if they have to side over from the left side to the right to get out that's what they do. (To enforce this policy I keep the child safety lock on the left door behind the driver/me. Obviously I remove that feature when I have a trusted adult male behind me).* 38:40 *As I approach any glass windows or doors, I am trained to use the reflection to look behind before I even get to the door, to see if I'm being followed or for threats (I use reflections a LOT inside and outside because they're free force multipliers everywhere). I still look back once I open the door.* 49:04 *Immediately after reconning a new location I will always show my wife or friends what I believe is the optimum exit in the event of an emergency by using my entire hand angled sideways with my palm open to point in that direction, and I expect eye contact with a quick head nod to confirm we're in agreement.* *BEWARE of FREEZERS!!! Because most can be locked from outside and if the crime turns into a stand-off hostage situation over the next few hours or day then hypothermia can kill.* 53:11 / 54:40 *Look outside briefly BEFORE going outside and secure personal items for hands free except your car keys/fob should be in your hand if you need it to open the doors.* 58:30 *The greatest ideas are worthless without practice and habituation.* *Liberty = Peace & I pray we always enjoy both!*
I have chosen to live in an almost crime free area for well over 30 years. We have no need for these paranoid behaviors. Live someplace safe and relax!
Dad of 3 here.. I have made SA a game for the kids. When I say "security detail" The boys start counting the people they see. Next they locate the back door. Who ever counts the most wins. 3rd they never stray or play away. Lastly, Both parents should have a set of keys. If one of you is involved with an incident....and the other is trying to evacuate the kids, it is a bit awkward to stop and ask for the keys.
Towing my camper, family in tow vehicle, exploring new areas of the country…I am my families first defense and first responder. Thanks for the video, provides a good framework to apply to our lives.
Really enjoyed this video. I like the pure honesty at the tension between finding a close parking spot and a parking spot that has the fastest exfil. Also dropping family off vs walking in parking lot together to the venue. Lots of good info to contemplate.
You know, when I got out of the Navy, I came back home and got a job driving a beer delivery truck. Did that for a few years, and moved on because it wasn't really fulfilling. No regrets on that. One good thing that I'm really just now realizing - I know the ins and outs, layout, etc. of every restaurant and gas station within a 50 mile radius of my house. I actively practice a lot of the stuff you guys talked about, learned a lot watching the video, and kinda realized I knew some stuff I didn't know I knew. Good shit.
Phenomenal video! Thanks for sharing. Had lots of insight, especially the notes on disclosing unnecessary information by promoting your company on your car or the not-so-cute-anymore stick figure family symbols.
One of the best videos you guys have put out to date. Great advice and these two guests were top notch. Would love to see some follow up videos with them expanding on additional aspects of Safety for the family!
I became father 3 months ago, and I started walking by instict with my family like you showed with me as a lead and mother as tail. I want to see upfront if it is safe because of cars, passengers, bicycle or runners for example. At first I felt weird, asking myself am I overpotective, but after watching this video i feel perfectly fine. Thats our job to do, thanks for tips and insights. Would love to have more videos like this from this same people 👍
Videos similar to this would be great to provide information to single moms, elderly at home with or without a car. Common sense information for health emergencies, crime prevention emergencies, etc. Great video above!!! One other thing. Ego, temper, fear, panic. How to deal with these to maintain self control while under extreme duress.
Thank you!! It still surprises me how much of what you talk about in videos like this I do already!! Coming from a military family it’s like breathing!! And I almost never let my gas get below half a tank!! Learned the hard way many years ago to always have at least half a tank of gas in my car at all times!! Another good tip my daughter came up with a game when she was about three. I always told her anything and everything can be used as a weapon. So she started asking how this or that can be used and we discussed how to use it as a weapon. And that’s how the game of how can we use this as a weapon started lol!!
As an 8 year police veteran, I can say that; at least in my area, there tends to not be as much crime early in the morning after the sun comes up. Between sunrise and noon would be the best time to run errands and gas up.
You must live in bumfaugh, the lager metropolitan areas are rife with crime, at anytime anywhere. Do not become complacent with lower crime trends in daylight hours, in usually quiet communities. That’s a recipe for disaster. Eyes up and SA WHEN LEAVING YOUR RESIDENCE.🫡👮🏻♂️
That was my perception living in Chicago. Property crime could happen any time of day, but typically would happen in residential areas in the afternoon or industrial and commercial areas late at night. Violent crime seemed to be most common after the sun goes down, but if during daylight, in the afternoon and evening. Besides, most people aren't running errands at 9 am, they're at work. The best time of day to go if you're not at work yourself.
Valuable content... I'd probably change your title and not limit audience interest to men alone. Most fathers who will find this video are hopefully doing these things already. Great information for Mom's/women. This will be mandatory viewing for my wife.
@51:43 You mention fire. February 20, 2003 in West Warwick, RI, 100 people lost their lives. The fire broke out on the western side of the venue and spread quickly, those that died were jammed in the vestibule all trying g to get out the front door. So for us, that is a huge reason to know where the exits are. Great video with plenty of easy practical advice.
A few days ago had an incident where i had the right of way but a car behind tried to overtake me and we almost collided and he yelled out threats at me while i had my daughter in the car and I let my ego get the best of me.. Thankfully he drove off. Afterwards i felt guilty because I should have ignored the threats and allowed him to continue. FAMILY FIRST! Thank you for this video.
Really good advices in this video. When you entered the restaurant, there was a fire terminal in the background. I don't know if US fire code has this, but in my country, there usually is a building schematics that shows room (sometimes with functions), fire fighting equiptment, first aid placements, and emergency exits. That is free information. And sometimes that information will be visually outdated. And that is also free information about the venue. Also to you who run venues that has rooms/areas that you want too shield, don't write the function of that room/area on the fire schematics that is publicly available.
One thing I do ( my family travels to sketchy places) is separate myself from my kids and (competent) wife. I get a second perspective of who’s watching who. It’s come in handy more than once.
I do the same thing depending upon the environment, I will hang back from my very competent wife, easier to run up than move backwards and watch what could be coming in. Actually watched a guy try and come in on my bride and was able to call him out to her and caught him between us. This specific instance was a fair with large police presence. Had it been a remote part of downtown, nope, she'd be indirect contact to me, we don't hold hands, but she does hold my arm, so I have both hands available. Our cars have as dark window tint as allowed by law, in our area is limo tint, hard to see in in day time, definitely can't see in at night, but that works against your ability to see out as well, but I try and limit my areas I go at night.
Thank you, this was a very informative and comprehensive. In addition, to what was covered I would suggest immediately manually locking the doors. Do not wait for them to automatically lock when you put the car in gear. This secures you in the vehicle during what is still part of the transitional period or any waiting period while in the vehicle. Otherwise, someone could walk up and simply open a door. I have done this for years and was one of the practical tips I gave my daughter and son even before they started driving. An AllBoro Security Agency Simple Safety Tip.
This is exactly what I want and need. I only care about protecting my family. I don't want it become Rambo or run off into the battle. I want to protect and lead. Thanks for the video.
If I had a dad like this, I might not be capable of or have endurance for the survival lifestyle I have to live now. Love/annoyed that you are guarding against homeless people. I'm female, homeless watching for new ideas - to help myself, not bother your family tyvm.
Something I didn’t see mentioned is changing your cars settings to where your vehicle doesn’t unlock when you shift into park. If you park and shift into park and the doors unlock immediately, it could leave you vulnerable. I manually unlock my doors when I’m ready to exit the vehicle.
After working as a professional line cook for many years, making a bee line and Out through the restaurant kitchen has always been my number 1 game plan. It’s almost ALWAYS opposite the front door (assuming the threat comes in through the front) and I have not yet seen an industrial restaurant kitchen that doesn’t have a back door for deliveries.
I have a different take on unlocking your vehicle across the parking lot. Instead, have remote start in addition to the window tint. I will start mine from the restaurant 5 minutes before leaving. Not only is it comfortable BUT the engine is warm, ready and bad guys tend to avoid the running vehicle they can’t see inside of OR if they did mean harm may assume you’re already in the vehicle and you can spot it on approach. I’ve seen it be useful!
One thing I personally do differently is during the transition of entering the car dad and or mom should not put on their seat belts until the last minute, until you are ready to put that vehicle in drive. I say this for the chance that you have to exit the vehicle because of a threat. Which could be a number of things from a last minute snatching attempt, active shooter engaging you or your vehicle, etc.
Very Useful Information I didn't realize this whole time I was doing this 😅 still sometimes you just gotta back to the basic and enhance your Skill to be more aware of your surroundings 👍
@@clamum9648maybe the 2 go hand in hand but from perspective it’s ego . So much can be observed about a situation or someone if we Just learn to watch and listen , for me it’s the ego that leads to everything else .
We use half a tank around refill level instead of a quarter tank. Also, we make a point of refilling gas during daytime, and are very careful about the gas station location.

I'd also throw in store selection. Like a Target Vs a Walmart and the people those stores attract. They are both functionally the same but with very different clientele.
I agree with this as well. I have Target, Walmart, Meijer and Kroger Market place all available in my area. So Walmart is definitely the bottom of the barrel I think they have their own police force in the store as well and it's still terrible
Target may seem like a bit classier establishment, but you're really just dealing with a different set of risks. I'll take tweaked out rednecks over commie troons any day. It's much easier to predict the behavior of someone who's just trying to get high than it is to figure out the psychology of a Polyamorous Gender-fluid Night Elf.

Even in the best of times finding your car in a massive parking lot can be a little hit and miss sometimes. Wandering around and making your car go "beep" so you can find it is just a bad look.
If you're out with the wife say out loud "we're parked in row 7. Lucky number 7"
Or "row 4, like playing golf, four!"
Making a joke or comment about the number makes it more likely to stick in your mind.
Mark it on maps on your phone. Drop a pin. Also make a note in notes app look for landmarks to triangulate the car and jot it down.
king of the hill vibe seeing everyone with their hands in heir pocket
Thays funny . But in all seriousness . In prison you dint stand with hands in pockets or arms crossed . Just in case something pops off it takes time to react

Yeah. I wish the quiet EP guy spoke more. Just like I prefer Drew.

I'm not a dad yet, and I would love to. But I'm thinking about all those things already. Thank you for that truly useful video! Great content. Keep it up boys.
As a Ccw divorced dad of 3 amazing daughters that are my life in a very dangerous world for young girls I sincerely appreciate this!
My son was born last Tuesday, something I needed to see
This is such an informative video. I'm definitely going to take advantage of alot of the tips given, especially since I'm a new Dad. My family's safety and well-being is everything. Thank you for this.
My son is 6 months old, thank you for providing this information to my wife and I. Really appreciate you guys.
I thoroughly enjoyed this, and hope to see more like this from you guys in the future. This is a great way to show civilians like us what they can practically do on a regular basis to protect our families.
*EXCELLENT ADVICE!!! In addition to the great points shared, the following suggestions come from my 30 years of experience living in high-risk areas and sadly, a few criminal interactions.*
15:53 *How does this guy Not know that feature can be turned off in all modern vehicles. NEVER allow all your doors to unlock when the vehicle is placed in Park.*
*Additionally, I have taken YEARS to train my wife to look outside and around the vehicle before exiting, and to automatically lock the doors when everyone is in or immediately after someone exits the vehicle. It's a habit for us now.*
16:48 *NEVER go to the back of your car during your fill-up. Standing at the back off your car can get you cut off from re-entry to your vehicle, if your passengers are untrained then they may feel compelled to exit the safety of the vehicle to help you and inadvertently expose everyone else inside to threat.*
20:00 *EXCELLENT ADVICE! Here's how you can leave the perfect amount of space every time while simultaneously discouraging other cars cutting in front of you. As long as when you're sitting back with your head against your headrest you can see the bottom of the back tires of the vehicle in front of you touching the ground, then you're good. This distance will vary depending on the size of vehicle in front of you and the size of your vehicle, but as you practice this you'll notice the distance always works out.*
31:07 *Head on a swivel, eyes bounce back and forth from on the horizon to potential blind spots as you move. Obviously I remove that feature when I have a trusted adult male behind me).*
38:40 *As I approach any glass windows or doors, I am trained to use the reflection to look behind before I even get to the door, to see if I'm being followed or for threats (I use reflections a LOT inside and outside because they're free force multipliers everywhere). I still look back once I open the door.*
49:04 *Immediately after reconning a new location I will always show my wife or friends what I believe is the optimum exit in the event of an emergency by using my entire hand angled sideways with my palm open to point in that direction, and I expect eye contact with a quick head nod to confirm we're in agreement.*
*BEWARE of FREEZERS!!! Because most can be locked from outside and if the crime turns into a stand-off hostage situation over the next few hours or day then hypothermia can kill.*
53:11 / 54:40 *Look outside briefly BEFORE going outside and secure personal items for hands free except your car keys/fob should be in your hand if you need it to open the doors.*
58:30 *The greatest ideas are worthless without practice and habituation.*
*Liberty = Peace & I pray we always enjoy both!*
I have chosen to live in an almost crime free area for well over 30 years. We have no need for these paranoid behaviors.
Live someplace safe and relax!
This was PHENOMENAL. No drama, nothing unrealistic. Real world advice. Thank you!
THIS IS A SOLID VIDEO... IM THIS GUY FOR REAL.. IM ALWYS SO AWARE, WITH MY FIREARM TRAINING AND BEING OBSERVANT THIS HAS HELPED ME
Really enjoyed this video. I like the pure honesty at the tension between finding a close parking spot and a parking spot that has the fastest exfil. Also dropping family off vs walking in parking lot together to the venue. Lots of good info to contemplate.
This is the most informative and educational gun channel there is out there. I love what yall do.
18:56.... truer words have never been said. Great video
I appreciate you guys realizing there are other sources out there that you allow an opportunity to teach on this platform! Yall are awesome!
Good shit.
This video finally convinced me to subscribe. Excellent content with nuance and context taken into account. Professional presentation once again.
Literally sitting in the hospital with my newborn watching this
Congratulations
Welcome to the club. Congratulations!
Congratulations. Cherish these next five years, because they will fly by.
Congrats!
Congratulations my brother! Stay blessed and safe and always cherish the moments. Even the sleepless ones, time flies by.
Just had a baby girl a week to the day and should be bringing her home soon. This is a great drop to be able to watch. Keep it up guys.
Shoutout to the dads who provide and protect
Amazing and very practical video lesson. I needed this more than ever in the day and age being a young dad.
The real MVP is the videographer on the gimbal cam 🔥💪 great video as always guys!
This might be my favorite video so far. A great topic, super relevant, and super informative. Thank you! Keep up the great content!
I just want a gf
Be careful what you wish for. If you enjoy your sanity at all, then what you want is a partner.
Stay single, kings. These hoes ain’t loyal
Yo what
Follow Christ first
You could clone one with a hair sample
Up until watching this video, I thought I was just a paranoid dad. I do all of this stuff the whole time & the fam doesn’t even know 🤣
Read a book called “Left of Bang”.
It’ll be eye opening
@@earlfears will do, thank you for the reply
Good insights on this when im currently working 2 security jobs, one for a company and the other a nightclub and Pt Army NG. The knowledge never stops
GREAT ideas here. I think this is one of the most helpful vids y'all have produced. Everyday family security considerations.
yo dont be the guy takin the only diesel pump on the end when you drivin your gasser
The "no ability to make eye contact with the person driving the 6000 lb death machine At the intersection" window tint is one A#$hole point as well.
Excellent video! Well thought out discussions on family OpSec.
I’m the oldest son in my family and I think this is great for people like me who are naturally very protective of their loved ones!
Fed.
As a mom, I found this video very helpful
As a Private Security Professional and a Family Man this was an awesome video!
This is exactly what I want and need. I only care about protecting my family. I don't want it become Rambo or run off into the battle. I want to protect and lead. Thanks for the video.
Top shelf information, fellas. Much appreciated!
If I had a dad like this, I might not be capable of or have endurance for the survival lifestyle I have to live now. Love/annoyed that you are guarding against homeless people. I'm female, homeless watching for new ideas - to help myself, not bother your family tyvm.
great vid, in my 2nd era of dadhood as kids are growing up,crazy times we're living in,its up to us to not be victims but victors!
I’ve seen it be useful!
dang just drove past this place today...so glad people like this are in my town.
This was great! I appreciate the expert daily approach to safety.
I bring up the rear because I want to keep and eye on the kids and that's behind me. Just my sop. Thanks for the video!
Excellent video! Just learned 100 things more
Much of this came natural for some of us who grew up in the hood.
Being on point, lane selection, etc.
Ty for this fellow dad's and anything beyond 10 pm is not good
One thing I personally do differently is during the transition of entering the car dad and or mom should not put on their seat belts until the last minute, until you are ready to put that vehicle in drive. I say this for the chance that you have to exit the vehicle because of a threat. Which could be a number of things from a last minute snatching attempt, active shooter engaging you or your vehicle, etc.
Great video, I would love to see more like this. Thank you guys for the content you make.
I learned defensive driving from a rally driver point of view, and the dela with fuel from them was to refill at half tank.
Very Useful Information I didn't realize this whole time I was doing this 😅 still sometimes you just gotta back to the basic and enhance your Skill to be more aware of your surroundings 👍
This is awesome. So much good advice. Thank you!
Excellent down to earth practical video for the average Joe....Good work gentlemen
That's so true, stop giving out information... It only serves to expose you and your loved ones to danger.
With the level of narcissism nowadays that's almost impossible for some people
@@clamum9648maybe the 2 go hand in hand but from perspective it’s ego . So much can be observed about a situation or someone if we Just learn to watch and listen , for me it’s the ego that leads to everything else .
@@clamum9648 So True!
We use half a tank around refill level instead of a quarter tank. Also, we make a point of refilling gas during daytime, and are very careful about the gas station location.
👌👌👌 Thank You For Such Information, I Feel Like It's A Refresher Course, A Friend Who Is Also A Fellow EP In Kenya, Sent Me That Video. I Have Subscribed And Am Greatful.
Great video. It reiterated a lot of things for me as well as gave some very good ideas. Thank ya.
Wow...great video. Looking forward to meeting you guys
Great show, and a lot of great advise, I appreciate this and will watch this episode a few times!
Thank yall putting out all the content you do!
Simple Jb if you have checked all the boxes. Top tier training makes this a good job at the office. F you know you’re good at this type work, it’s a rewarding job. All the things he’s talking about is simple basic detail. The good stuff is being trained thoroughly with the confidence to handle business. Done it and look forward to getting back into PPP. Rah
I'd also throw in store selection. Like a Target Vs a Walmart and the people those stores attract. They are both functionally the same but with very different clientele.
True, but it’s also a regional thing you’ll need to notice. I’ve been to Walmarts that are really nice and then there’s “people of Walmart” Walmarts.

@@timunderbakke8756Wish I had been to a nice Walmart. We live in a wealthy area and its still more sketch than target down the block. But cheaper than grocery stores and target on many food items according to my wife.
