This sounds really interesting, thanks! Surma, would you consider doing a longer video where you actually show us some code and explain how this works in more detail? Thanks for these videos! 😀
Your post back in end of June comes to mind, how troublesome was to get a bug fixed in all browsers :D. Wonder how long it will take to implement this.
This show is great, please keep making it forever. Just knowing these things exist is useful
They in fact, did not run this show forever :(
Love these small snippets, this could come in useful too
The time limit should be 2 minutes 03 seconds 😉

We've started using more code in these, eg ruclips.net/video/Nzokr6Boeaw/видео.html. We filmed two more that'll be released shortly.
this seems amazing! \o/
i was doing the same thing by using the Cache API...
"chrome and firefox", thats all we need ;)
We wish😪. But I guess we can use it for electron apps since we control the what browser is used.
Is this what the Google Music (desktop) and Google Music Mini player uses to communicate with each other?
this is amazing for having a central syncing database, to bad it has such limited support else i'd definitely have used it
Powerful stuff !
Why was it not implemented in all browsers?
I wish I knew :( It is currently not often used, so I guess it’s fairly low priority on the browsers that don’t have it.
It took Chrome long enough to get it. It was in Firefox for ages beforehand.
