Because 04 was the end of the boy band era and Brian knew very well it was high time to explore their personal interests and he had the courage to do it. Unlike the other 4 who were afraid to go out of their comfort zones. They just went on as a 4 piece due to their egos, pride and bitterness and of course they are afraid to chase their personal interests 😏

I think the lads have been doing fine even without him. yes, him and shane have great voices, but I'm more into mark's voice 'cause it's special. there are plenty of singers with a voice similar to shane's and brian's, while I can only name you a few singers with a voice as powerful as mark's.
