I've been listening to your videos all day long for the past three days (stay at home dad, bored off my tits, thought I'd D&D, haven't played since I was 11). I'm sure I've heard more than a few of them 5 or 6 times over. You've been a treat and a trip, especially when you're waxing philosophical. Thanks. 1973, grew up in the 80's, living in Boise.

    Yes room design!
I just ran a fire plane room design for my group last week. 1D4 timer and suffer one level of exhaustion. 1D6 escalation...at the end of 6th turn suffer two levels of exhaustion at the end of 1D4 timer. Throw a fire elemental in there just to spice up the party.

So I have been working as a video game designer, and I have to say this video is awesome, because a lot of the same ideas are things that I would utilize in making a game environment, and it was interesting to see some of these creative ideas, and I even learned a few things.
    Great job! ^^

Your art and encounter ideas are inspiring.
I can't say room designs are my favorite (second favorite maybe). I like adventure and encounter ideas (which are included or implied in these room designs, so that's cool), and I especially like your game-play tips.
    Keep being a badass!

Would be interesting if every room had it's own key, with an underlying riddle of with each combination of keys opening the door to a different room, where only one combination of the nine possible will lead to the Boss Battle that they need for victory.

Hey, this room design inspired my latest D&D game... or at least the second half which was the combat-y part of the game. So thank you for your awesome content.
I also leaned in on your thoughts on mechanised social encounters by creating NPC behaviour card that lists an NPCs wants and fears and a short list of how they will react in the future depending on whether the adventurers left a good or bad impression.
I've written it all up on my site. Thoughts, comments, notes etc.
