Followed your guidance for an oil change and it went beautifully! I needed to replace the oil filter as the seal had degraded and I was losing oil catastrophically! It’s now running like a dream. I drive for a living so big weight off my shoulders!
Thank you so much for the video!
The 107/Aygo/C1 is a cracking little car. Bags of character, fun to drive, great little exhaust note and very basic meaning there's not much to go wrong.
Absolutely!! 👌
Thanks for a very well made and helpful video. Doesn’t need to be more complicated then this! Cheers from Sweden
Top video, easy to follow and appreciate the link to the service kit. Top man
Thank you! Glad it helped you. 🙌🏻
Very well explained. Not rushed. I’ll be following this guide when I do mine. Thanks 👍🏼
Thank you.
Very much appreciated.
Glad it will be helpful.
👌

Excellent video- just what I needed. Thanks very much!
Excellent video Mate
You took your time and presented it well. Thanks
Thank you.
Your positive feed back is greatly appreciated. 🙌🏻
Agree, great work here. Have also some videos about this car. Can check it. :)
Thanks for explaining where to place the axle stand.
Very clear instruction. Thank you.
Thank you. 🙌🏻
Excellent video, thankyou 👍
Thank you. 🙌🏻
Great video mate
Thank you 🙌🏻
Very well presented and informative vid 😃 Might give me the confidence to do this service myself on my own 107 👍😃
Thats great to hear.
Thanks for the positive feedback.
Just take your time and do it safely.
Hope it goes well. 🙌🏻
@@Drivewaybuildz Doesn't need doing urgently. Don't have a garage getting a bit cold now so thinking it will be a spring project 😃
I have got a good trolley Jack and a couple of axle stands. So will definitely be doing it safely 😃
@@stewartturner3181 Excellent. good to hear. 👌
Can't believe anyone pays to get this done. Thanks for the helpful guide
There are many reasons:
1) Some people don't have the time to do it.
2) Some people don't have the confidence to do it.
3) Some people have health problems meaning sliding underneath a car isn't possible
4) Some people don't want the hassle
5) Some people don't have the room to do it
6) In the time it takes, some people can earn more money than the service costs
My reasons are 1 & 4.
Great video, thank you!
Thank you 🙌🏻
Great video!
Thank you 🙌🏻
Good job mate Thank you
Thanks mate. 🤙🏻
Good educational video. Made it look easy.
I wonder if it actually is, when I get to work on it.
It is pretty simple to do mate.
just taking the time to do it properly and safely is the main thing.
once you do it the first time yourself you will be servicing your own cars yourself in the future in no time. 👌
Thank you sir 🙏
Hey man great video!!
One question:
I bought the kit of Denso kh20tt, will they work as well as the kh16tt?
Thank u
So helpfull.
Great video. Is it worth buying the Denso iridium plugs?
Is it the same for 108? Or are those different? Great video! Really appreciate it!
Bruh a local mechanic charged me 3 times more than what the oil and filters cost alone, and did it in 30-40 minutes. I'm doing this on my own from now on
Is this the same process for a manual and automatic bug?
Great video but one thing wrong, you meant to be checking your oil level when engine is warm not cold as when oil warms up its expanding.
How often should the coolant system be drained and re-filled? A google search said every 4 years. What about gearbox fluid? Thanks
About 23-25nm for sump nut
Nice video ! Am I the only one who's filling the new oil filter with as much as fresh oil as it can contain, before screwing it back on ??
you can do it 2 ways.
fill the filter and put the engine capacity in the engine. or dont fill the filter and add the oil fiter capacity to the engine capacity when filling the engine
aslong as you calculate the correct capacitys it doen't really matter. 👍
Wouldn't a full servise include a fuel filter?
You said 10 mm spark plug tool. Isn't that 16mm ? Everywhere I look for it says 16mm
yes you're right. I didn't pick up on that.
👍
@@Drivewaybuildz Thanks, I want to buy one so I wasn't sure :)
I have to buy an oil engine 15w40 or 50w30
Great clear instructions 👍
Any chance of a how-to replace front and back brackets please.
Thanks.
Thank you. What do you mean by front and rear brackets?
@@Drivewaybuildz
Apologies, it should have read Brakes.
Thanks for your speedy reply 👍👍
@@craigfudo ah i see. We have a video already of changine the front pads on our channel. But we do need to change the front discs at some point and rear brakes. If you are subscribed and have clicked the bell icon you will be notified of new uploads. Thanks for your comment. 👍
@@Drivewaybuildz Thanks, your doing a great job👍
@@craigfudo Thank you! 🙌🏻
Sorry, I'm new to learning the full service of aygo from youtube. Can you tell me if your ratchet handle is 1/4 or 3/8? I'm debating which socket set to buy. Thanks! !
Hi
i have all 3 sizes
it is good to have the different sizes for different tasks. sometimes you need the biggest for more leverage of tighter bolts and sometimes you need a small size to get into tight gaps. most half decent tool sets come with a selection
Thanks for that! What type / size of crash washer should I use on a 2012 Citroen C1? Should I reuse the existing one? I want to avoid leaks.
I'm 99% sure if you order the kit in the description it comes with a new washer.
alot of oil filters do come with one.
worst case you're best of calling your local dealer to get one.
should only be £2 max i would assume. 👍
Hi, A great intro and directions on how to service. Can I ask a question? Engine vibration at low revs, which dissapeares when revs are increased, why? Also, where do I find the engine number? As I'm suspecting that its not tbe original.
Thank you. 👍
It could be many different things. check your engine mounts first.
As for the engine code im not 100% sure to be honest. never needed to look for it and haven't noticed it before.
@@Drivewaybuildz Thanks for you response. Much appreciated. It's a car I was looking to buy, following which I think its a typical 3 cylinder engine vibration, as it dissapeared on reving it up. Also, subsequently discovered it wasn't the original engine, in fact it had done more 30k more miles than shown on speedo. Not good.
@@ocomin8089 Thats annoying. It is normally alot of work to adjust the speedo and requires swapping the ECU and barrel for key etc. if its adding on miles its unlikely this will be done devaluing the car.
You should never use bricks for any kind of wedge or support they crack and crumble without warning
My rear heated screen doesn't appear to work at all . Any videos for this problem?
Afraid not buddy.
I would recommend Checking the fuse that powers the heated screen in the manual or online diagram and try changing it.
Hi my peugeot 107 doesn't go above 30mph, do you know what could be the problem
could be many different things. sounds like something is causing it to go into limp mode. try an OBD2 code reader to see if any fault codes come up.
Hey, cool video. How often (how many miles etc.) does this kind of service need to be done, on these cars?
Hi
thanks
about 12k-15k miles roughly or every 2 years.
we normally service all our cars once per year to be safe.
normally you would just do oil and filter every 2 years and plugs every other time.
every does them at different intervals so thats just a recommendation from me.
it will say in your manual how often for this specific model. 👍
@@Drivewaybuildz ничего себе 10-15 миль это очень много ,я меняю раз в 10000 км
I thought you could only put the axle stands at the sides where the seals meet I.e where you jacked it up?
No.
thats the jacking point. axle stands can be anywhere structural on the car like rear axle, subframe or jacking point. just not on say the sump that would go through it
They're called axle stands for a reason.
I have driven diesels for years so forgive this old got for saying ;do the spark plugs come pre set now? The wrong gap may give an ineffective spark, leading to unburnt fuel or faster wearing of the plugs.
Perfectly feesable questio
Tim.
Pretty much all spark plugs come pre gapped nowadays.
normally only aftermarket spark plugs for tuned cars need manual gapping from what i have seen.
every day plugs for everyday engines are usually good to go. 👍
I need to buy a cheap one for my daughter but they have doubled in price..
10mm spark plugs socket?
This was covered a couple days ago whem someone mentioned it.
No idea why i said 10mm. meant 16mm.
obviously 10mm PTSD 🤷🏻♂️
I would very much like to see a fuel filter change.
If ours ever needs changing i will be sure to make a video on it. 👍
@@Drivewaybuildz Thanks. FYI, I watched another video where the guy says it's a lifetime filter and it's glued in to the fuel pump. So you shouldn't really replace it?
ruclips.net/video/hBwX0CylBiA/видео.html
Hi. Is the build quality of all these are same.. ?
Yes pretty much. Aygo, C1 and 107 are basically the same car with same chassis and engine etc.
Pretty good and reliable build quality over all and modestly priced parts. 👍
Can check my test drive of this car. Have one. :)
You should check the oil level straight after doing the service, start the car, run it a minute then let it stand a couple of minutes THEN check the level, NEVER run it a few days before checking it, your asking for trouble,
as long as you got more than 2.5litres in that engine its no issue.
i use a toyota celica filter. its larger
Good to know. thanks. 👍
Great video. Have also some videos about this car. It is a really nice car. :) Can check it. Thumb up here. :)
5w40 okay for these cars ?
5w30 is the recommended oil.
at a push you could top up with 5w40 but only in a needs must. 👍
@@Drivewaybuildz dam , I've brought 5w40 just been delivered:(
@@stephenfoster4255 5w 40 is fine to use. It's one of the recommend grades in the official owner manual.
Put newspapers beneath next time so you don't leave oil on the ground. Here in Germany you would be fined a whole lot for those drops on the ground, for bigger amounts jail time. All because it's bad for the environment. Also the gloves and the towels you don't throw into household garbage, you ask a car shop to do dispose it for you. Even better use colored leaflets from Malls etc you get in the mail, they don't let oil go through much
Where are our freedoms going?
@@kk-qy4sc one drop of oil spoils 1000 litres of water... What is freedom when I am forced to drink polluted water because of some low IQed idiot?
Ha in the UK if you tried to to give oily rubbish to a car shop they would laugh at you. We put it all in the dustbins. Mine are full of oily cardboard waste.
THATS A MK2 NOT MK1 YOURS IS A FACELIFT
Dont shout
34k lmao mines at 110
Great video! But fuckk me mate u sound depressed, liven up a little !
Great video mate
