There are so many games released now have poor art direction and head-scratching bad graphics. AC Unity glides through its digital Paris like an ageless ballerina, every move calculated, every pixel dripping with elegance.
There's a sensation that every brick in Paris was laid down with purpose, each roof tile has its own backstory, and the Seine flows with the weight of a thousand historical tales. It's as if the developers were handed a magnifying glass and told to go nuts, zooming into the minutiae until each detail was exquisite. The game's beauty isn't just skin deep; it dives into the marrow, giving depth and texture to a world so vibrant, it could well be mistaken for reality.
Sure, modern games boast about their sprawling landscapes - huge, expansive, yet often as lifeless as a cardboard movie set. AC Unity may not span continents, but its Paris is a living, breathing entity, brimming with stories in every alleyway, atop every cathedral, and behind each revolution-inciting chant.
Let's be honest, Unity has its quirks, But when the sunset hits Notre Dame, or you're caught in a Parisian downpour, seeing raindrops slide down Arno's meticulously designed jacket, you remember why this game is iconic. It captures a magic that many newer games lack: the magic of a world crafted with a love so evident, you can feel it with every leap, every assassination, every rooftop rendezvous.

I really appreciate how this mod is giving Arno his well deserved lethality in form of stealth multi kills. Here are my favourite moments:
0:50 essentially a triple kill mid air
4:10 beautiful unarmed double tool kill
4:59 very sick high profile double ledge assassination
5:09 fucking fire dual wielding of tools mid air
5:31 amazing triple assassination
i completely agree now the arno in the game matches the arno of legend. Although some animations are a bit janky, it's so satisfying to use these kills and I think this should have been in the game from the start. and also those are basically my favourite moments too XD
This are honestly far better to do and look better than the chain assassinations in Mirage. i would take this over that even if its "less OP". i dont like when they add these things that are basically superpowers.
The mods you added just makes the game so much better. It's a lot smoother and the new animations are beautiful. Also the addition of catch ledge is awesome.

5:31 Its interesting how the mod actually effects the kill animations, you can clearly see Arno stab the guard on the right first, then shot the phantom blade second and then stabbed the left guard third (when without the mod the shot in the middle doesn't happen), although the left guard got "hit" during the phantom blade shot animation

The parkour in this was some of the best I've seen on Unity Also 5:09 was so smooth considering you did about 4 different animations in less than a second it looked incredible. Amazing as always

I remember looking at first reveal trailers of Unity before it was released. I was just blown away how it looked. it was next gen for the period. you can still see it in the more higher resolution old trailers.
I'm literally watching Unity's credits right now, it took me 6 years to pick it back up thanks to your videos ! The mods are amazing, the story may be lackluster, but gameplay-wise it is without a doubt the greatest AC in my opinion

Unity isn't a game I thought I'd love, but there are times when I've spent ages trying to "get good" and the moment it clicks is ecstatic. The joy of finally connecting the dots is only matched by the idea of what could have been if the game were properly finished.

I've been playing this game for the first time because of your videos. One of the high ceiling skill parkour in the AC series. When you master the movement it's the most fun I've had in an AC since I was kid playing AC1 and AC2

@AltairStealth Ya, I totally feel like they planned to give Arno two blades and just forgot to get rid of it when they changed it.
And the Altair mod fixes my main problem with the Altair outfit: no gloves! But it also looks better imo. Like the white is the correct white, like it was too bright originally or something. All the textures just look better imo
@@QuatarTarandirYou can see the left guard bleed when he got stabbed but the right guard didn’t. Weird how ubisoft added in that detail but forgot to change/alter the animation.
@dlovian3927 Ya, totally. Some people say that he broke the guard's throat, but I don't buy it. Honestly, they should've just given him two blades at the end since he became a Master Assassin, and then had extra animations for them while keeping the other single blade animations. But Unity released like it did, so I'm not surprised it's not touched up

This has also happened to other franchises as well. I feel like 2014-2015 is when games looked perfect from art direction perspective. NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 is a game that somehow looks artistically better than the newer NFS games despite those games using the newest tech even 13 years later.

Ubisoft fails to realize that Unity was ahead of its time. So what it was buggy when it first dropped. The formula was perfect and it worked when it was polished. Literally dropped this game again, but complete and it would satisfy everyone.
This video is easily the best since you started using those spectacular mods. You push this game (and now the mods) so hard that it almost looks as if the game is naturaly made to allow for multi-kills and the like, similar to games like Ghost of Tsushima. Assassin's Creed is a great series and we all love it, but truth be told the games never look and work as fluidly as you make them look in your channel. Well done! 👏👏👏

If Arno shoots someone with a phantom blade and then he looks them does it consistently give him a phantom blade back. This happened to me a few times and I’m curious if this happened to anyone else.

This was when AC peaked and also the last time you actually felt like a true Assassin. Arno still has the hottest animations and swag. Ubishit nailed everything except for the performance which also got fixed quickly after

I really like the stealth on unity. Compared to the newer games even in mirage, taking out guards seemed to easy. Compared to unity, it's very tactical and strategy based, which adds to the stealth. It takes time and patience because you can't just jump in blind and kill them as fast as possible, because the guards can detect you pretty easily

Looks better and more fluid than Mirage. In Unity you feel like a small person in a big city, but Mirage looks like you are a big person in a small city, because of the scaling.

Sadly Mirages parkour will not be anywhere near this fun and complex but i think the stealth is amazing and will allow for badass clips like Unity’s!

Ubisoft had the perfect recipe, they simply took it out of the oven too early. It is so frustrating knowing they are sitting a pile of gold and could pull out one of the best action-adventure open-world but decided fighting centaurs was the way to go... Unity was truly the last ambitious Ubisoft game.
