It's easier to pick a key (like C Major). Then you have notes that fit with each other. Should make it a lot easier for you. Other theorie can be found on youtube but start with this.

Yo you should try using LFO or volume automation to make the wobbles rather than drawing it in the piano roll. It just gives it more of that future bass vibe
