Guys Back2Warcraft guys are not to blame for Reforged... don't dislike this videos. This only hurts them. I bet they preffer Classic aswell, but they don't have another option to go forward. They have been fighting for this game (real wc3 classic) for more than 10 years! Show support to them. Like this so people can realize.

I feel like despite the graphical fidelity increasing significantly, it's as though the art direction fell apart. WC3 has excellent art direction and everything was quite cohesive, while this looks like a patchwork of random assets mashed together with the assumption that it will somehow gel together on it's own.
The art direction is way superior amd I have no problem distinguishing anything. That being said, I have played the game since its early Beta and am used to it.
I was able to play it then regretted it instantly. call it a reforged still no all select in 2020 call it micro intensive this game is not up to date RTS standarts its garbage also fucking laugh at unit collision and how that blademaster died HAHAHAHA wc3 was and still is horseshit
I'm able to play the game since release without any issue. I think people having issues are people playing it on their same crappy pcs they used to play the old warcraft 3 and then complaining.
When I made this comment a year ago, it was in reference to the horrible servers and lag that made it unplayable on launch week. YT algorithms sure are weird.
Because like all art it is up to personal interpretation and taste. Just because you like or dislike something does not make it right or wrong. Everyone gets to have their own opinion on art that is how it works.
How should a rts that tries to stay true to its origins exactly look in 2020? They can't really go over the top with what they already have. In my opinion they should have made WC4 and left WC3 alone. This whole situation is just ass.

Does anyone else find that the movements in Reforged are clunkier than in classic? I find also that surrounds are much harder to land in reforged because if a unit is out of place, and you go to re adjust it, all the other units that are needed for the surround start walking around randomly instead of staying in place, as they did in classic
@Damon Stonem the thing is you can't officially play classic now. It automatically downloads reforged. So, you can only download a pirated copy if you want to go back to classic.
Look at the positive side. If something has taught us Reforged, is that greater definition and detail does not make good graphics and a good gaming experience. My eyes really hurt when I saw the battles, I can't tell the units apart. WC3 Classic is so well done, you can't do better in 2020. Now I appreciate it much more than before. RIP
I can understand some of the complaints, as they are valid. However, some are just people not being okay with change. As someone who lives in the corner of the world, on classic my ping would be 250+. On Reforged, I've had lower ping, no lag or any disconnections issues yet. (If you have latency issues , it may be because you haven't purchased reforged.) The general UI is rough and doesn't look very good, but seems to be free of any major bugs (there are minor issues, such as scrolling bug, images not being aligned etc, but these are no major issues to the gameplay itself, and over the course of the next few weeks and months, the game will be going through constant patches) It is understandable the SWEs/Blizzard would want to prioritize merging the servers (which is incredibly hard), and have a functioning gameplay over a UI by the release date. The graphics IMO are nice, and close up you can see that they did put a lot of work into making it look good. If outsourcing is the basis of your opinion, it wasn't outsourced to some crappy company in China. It was outsourced to a pretty reputable company called Lemon Sky in Malaysia. Before their work can be used, they go through and finalized by Blizzards graphical artists. I think people have to be careful to separate opinions that valid from ones that are based on knee jerk reactions on change - and one we see right now is downvoting Back2Warcraft content. It's immature, these guys do not work for Blizzard and they do this for the love of the game and for the community. Just remember guys, game development/software engineering is a complex iterative process. I'm sure the team are losing sleep, constantly working on it, and there will be many patches over the next few weeks/months.

Man the color looks lifeless compared to the Classic. Maps looked better on the Classic, it was only the unit models that looked dated due to low polycount but their color pallet were better.

They literally released an unfinished game. They should take it back and rather make a warcraft 3 HD. It feels like they wanted to keep old players, so they kept the mechanics which is great, but also wanted to get new players with radically different models. In the end, the animations (unit and hero mouvements) are for the most part completely off, and the graphics are uneven. The whole thing looks incohérent and lifeless, and that’s a disapointment for sure
Does anybody know what plugin they use on the interface? I already saw a streamer using that, it even shows keybinded groups, could really use that. Thanks in advance anyone ♡

The overlay needs a fix. It's kinda all over the place, and it makes it hard to follow sometimes. I don't see supplies anywhere (maybe I'm looking at the wrong places), incomes could be interesting? Also, at the begginning of the third game it looks like the one winning the series is Cash because he is on the right and so is the winning score (this is not as related to the overlay as the overlay itself doesn't include the match score, but maybe the overlay could keep the players fixed?). I don't know how much can be done, and I don't know how much of this is spoiled whine coming from a SC2 tradition.
Guys why do the firs minute you lock down on one still-ish village while another gets attacked by creeps or has some activity. I love these videos and thanks but often the camera seems a bit too static at the beginning... Just a little annoying detail.

Frankly, given the incredible amount of complaining I've seen around the internet, I expected the graphics to be significantly worse. The game looks like a remaster -- different yes, some of that vintage love is gone, and definitely crisper. I much prefer looking at this. To be fair though, I don't play WCIII. And I remember when Halo: Remastered came out -- I literally could not stand to look at the new graphics. Over time, though, I came to appreciate the greater fidelity. People hate change, and especially hate change to things they love/have been following for years.
The reforged game is so bad I am very disappointed with blizzard. First the magic effect is backward and even worse than the 2d original one. Second the unit's motion is awkward, some of them are too stiff and repeated.

Even though Blizzard cocked things up a lot with communication in regards to WC3 and, as such, false advertise the game up to a point - not refunding and banning, people are now nitpicking the game just because... To complain about the graphics, the models, the look, when they are way superior to the bland WC3 graphics is just downright pathetic. Did anyone actually play this game? The models are gorgeous to look at!

You can play your old version. You have to use your CD keys on your blizzard account and you can play it through the Reforged client.
