LITTLE OOPS: "Value" is supposed to be "Brightness", sorry! RIP me my bad ;o; Hope ya'll have a great day though lol :'D

Nah you're good. Most software calls it "Value" but "Brightness" is fine too.

I've pretty much mastered my own methods of shading. I have my own techniques to achieving the kind of shading I want to accomplish, depending on how "special" the deviation is. I live by no real exact rules, only as long as the final results are still impressive.

Thank you for the excellent tutorial. I tried to figure out shading in color vs shading in grey scale. This is very helpful.

I learned a lot (without sound) and without watching the full video, by skipping through and seeing the most important parts of the video, like of you using the color picker and going through all the colors, that helped a lot

Ahhhh I see what you were doing there ;D. //wasaguineapigallalong
Thanks for the tutorial! It helped to go through it quickly in the beginning and then take a moment to go more in depth for sure. No matter how advanced in art one gets, it's always important to return to the basics. I definitely appreciate you mentioning that multiple factors are involved with color choice. I sometimes get stuck using that hue+saturation+value option because in my mind it's the best method, but it doesn't always apply with those variables. I'll keep this in mind for my next coloring attempt! ^.^/

Yeee glad you liked it! For sure, I'm the same way! I need to play around with color more. It can just be tricky sometimes, there's a lot that goes into it :O
